Under the direction and supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics Center Manager, the Warehouse Lead is responsible for performing general warehouse functions including housekeeping, preparing and checking shipments, unloading and loading, and counting inventory and oversees operation by assisting supervisors and managers. Operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment to stack and move products is required. Certification of OSHA Forklift training is required. Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Handles in loading, unloading, picking, staging, stacking, and moving of product. Assists in reviewing daily workloads and redistributing assignments to meet required deadlines. Assists management with issues related to vendor compliance and inventory control and training warehouse employees. Prints and reviews reports to monitor warehouse performance and compliance with customer's requirements. Notify supervisors of any damage, irregularities and any safety concern and safety violations at warehouse immediately. Checks product picked for shipment, verifies models and quantities against packing slip, and brings discrepancies to management's attention. Takes inventory by counting and verifying model numbers and quantities. Drives forklifts and prepares all necessary documents. Ensure forklift and other equipment are fully operational. Inspects supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Perform and report emergency repairs such as adding water, installing light bulbs, tire chains to supervisors. Skills & Qualifications: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess knowledge of safety and security procedures including Forklift operation, in accordance with US Customs, HAZMAT, OSHA, CTPAT, and TSA manuals. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted. Minimum GED, High School Diploma preferred. Able to operate forklift, handjack, pallet lift. Must possess current forklift certification Previous experience with RF scanners and WMS systems Minimum 2 years related warehouse experience. Must be able to work in a rapidly changing environment. Provide business process reviews and assist clients to take advantage of opportunities presented by existing and emerging information technologies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Coordinate with business, technology and support teams to ensure systems solutions meet business requirements. · Define and document business requirements using information gathering tools such as, interviews, software analysis, requirements workshops, and surveys. Validate requirements with user representatives and stakeholders. · Translate business requirements into design and technical specifications for developers. · Document and streamline current and future processes. · Evaluate and recommend technology solutions based on requirements analysis and product/vendor evaluation. · Prepare requirements documents, reports, feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis. · Perform and coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing, and beta testing. · Monitor and report variances in requirements with respect to established project scope. · Work with consultants and developers to ensure the final product meets the business requirements. · Support effective identification, assessment and resolution of business and system issues. · Identify opportunities for improved utilization of existing business applications and processes. · Research and recommend resources to guide staff in business process improvement. · Discuss issues impacting business process changes, new systems, and procedures with senior IT staff. · Create and maintain process and system documentation. · Coordinate and communicate with end users, management, to resolve project issues. · Chair or participate in meetings with client departments to assess client needs and develop plans. · Contribute to training and roll out of solutions. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, or related field, and minimum five years' experience in project management, business process mapping, technology applications such as networks, relational databases, client server systems, enterprise resource systems (ERP), business intelligence and reporting systems. Skills desired for the position: Strong analytical, organization, and problem solving skills that support and enable sound decision making in a complex organization; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems. Computer skills in Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, visio, excel, and Oracle (a plus). Knowledge of business practices and processes and processes along with a general understanding of accounting systems and processes in manufacturing. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write policies and procedures and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees, end users and/or vendors. Supports field sales and customers by providing information regarding order status, product availability, pricing, sales policies and procedures and other customer concerns. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Establish and maintain direct contact with customers. • Maintains customer files by working direct with customer to process order change requests and resolve holds. • Interact extensively with regional sales brokers and sales reps to become proficient in the operations and expectations of our key customers. • Reviews and processes customer orders to maintain pricing and delivery accuracy. • Liaison between sales/brokers and all other areas of customer service. • Monitors order, communicates status to customers and sales, and makes expedite decisions accordingly. • Provides information to customers regarding orders, EDI, product updates and answers questions. • Process requests for carrier & customer disposition on over, short and damages. • Communicates special handling of customer orders to scheduling and distribution. • Customer project and reporting as requested by sales, brokers, and management. • Order entry SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE • Excellent problem solving and follow up skills. • Ability to make decisions independently and be proactive. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (especially telephone skills). • Knowledge of product base and internal systems. • Must be a team player. • Ability to interface with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner. • Excellent attendance and punctuality a must. PHYSICAL/MENTAL JOB DEMANDS • Frequent sitting, computer keyboarding and telephone operation. • Occasional physical effort involving standing, walking, climbing stairs and lifting up to 25 lbs. • Normal 40 hour work week, however, occasional time may be required after hours or on weekends. • Occasional travel (less than 5%) to other company locations. • Current position will require a 8:30am to 5:30pm work schedule.
