POSITION SUMMARY
The QA Tech Lead reports to the QA Supervisor and is based out of our Springdale, Arkansas location. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products by reviewing production paperwork and testing incoming concentrates to ensure they meet company specifications. The QA Tech Lead must have the capacity to understand quality assurance requirements and be computer literate. QA lead should be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. They should possess the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. They should also be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. At a minimum the QA Lead must be able to:
Possess a good knowledge of the batching process and the proper way to adjust the batching process if needed.
Provide guidance and technical support to ensure product meets quality and product safety specifications
Monitors ingredient usage to ensure conformance and customer specifications.
Calibrate testing and analyzing equipment.
Audits production processes, facilities and personnel practices for conformance to customer, company, GMP, HACCP, SQF and PCQI or any other applicable regulations and standards

Perform calibration on all lab equipment
Maintain product retain samples and color standard
Performs analytical testing on incoming concentrates/tankers to insure they meet specification
Maintain product specifications in database
Maintain and evaluate expired ingredient program
Pre-weigh colors for batching
Assist batching and production with any analytical test needed
Review all QC paperwork daily
Review and investigate customer complaints
Communicate with Corporate regarding quality, product safety, ingredient, and formulation issues.
Serve as a back-up for the QA Manager pr QC Inspectors as needed
Ensure out of specification product is held, evaluated and disposition obtained.
Interfaces and effectively works cross-functionally with other (Maintenance, Production, Warehouse)
Aid in swabbing to support plant sanitation requirements
Ability to work overtime as needed
Learn, understand and use CORE values
Ensure lab supplies remain at adequate levels and process invoices as necessary
Perform other related duties as required and assigned

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.
FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Report to the Sous Chef to help prepare and present all foods in the restaurants and banquets.

The Role
The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for developing, sourcing, and executing high-quality, cost-effective packaging solutions that meet brand, quality, and sustainability standards. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Operations, and Sourcing, to support new product launches and ongoing production needs.
The Packaging Engineer will oversee component development, supplier management, and production readiness while driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Development & Engineering
• Translate creative design concepts into functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective packaging solutions
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing to ensure packaging aligns with brand standards, functionality, and cost objectives
• Interpret and approve engineering documents, including die lines, material specifications, and technical drawings
• Provide subject-matter expertise to ensure packaging feasibility and production readiness
• Lead design reviews and recommend improvements to enhance sustainability, quality, and efficiency

Supplier Management & Sourcing
• Lead supplier evaluations, RFQs, and cost of goods (COGs) analyses to ensure quality, value, and timely delivery

• Identify cost drivers and apply a total cost of ownership approach to decision-making
• Manage packaging component orders and monitor supplier performance for cost, quality, and delivery
• Conduct on-site visits for supplier assessments, color matching, and first production runs as needed
Production Planning & Quality Assurance
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of packaging components for production and new product launches
• Oversee packaging inventory levels to support production planning and business continuity
• Support first production runs through on-site quality assurance and troubleshooting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Planning, and Logistics to ensure readiness for on-time launches
• Drive initiatives to reduce waste, streamline processes, and improve overall packaging sustainability
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Develop and implement best-in-class packaging development processes, documentation, and tools

Qualifications Required

Primary Responsibilities include

Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled per the maintenance system as directed or assigned, documents actions taken within required time frame.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and creates work orders to perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment during machine service.
Perform skilled repair services and installation of equipment including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics and mechanical functions.
Attends to facility maintenance service calls, diagnoses repair, and corrects problems following acceptable practices.
Proactively identifies and communicates improvements needed on equipment and or facility.
Identifies parts needed for replacement and places request orders as necessary.
Ensure compliance to company requirements.
Creates and completes all work orders for work performed in accordance with process and established safety procedures.
Can perform REV size changes on required equipment.
Work in conjunction with operations staff on daily operational issues and continues improvement.
Can perform full rebuilt of equipment as assigned and has performed PMs on 50% of operational equipment.
Maintains clean and organized common facility areas maintenance/repair areas.
Perform daily shift report on status of work performed.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
