Responsibilities:
Manage A - Z process for Non-Laufer routed clients
Manage customs entries for Laufer routed clients
Accurate and timely filing of Import Security Filing for Non-Laufer routed clients
Correspond with clients regarding ISF, documents, classification, customs / PGA issues, exams/holds, etc.
Ensure accuracy of commercial documents for Customs entry
Maintain and manage client product HTS databases
Monitor, track and tracing client shipments
Ensure accurate and timely transmission of CBP & PGA entries of assigned clients
Communicate with CBP, OGA's, SSL, forwarders and terminals to resolve clearance issues
Secure freight release for Non-Laufer routed clients when required
Arrange delivery for Non-Laufer routed clients when required
Process / monitors Post Summary filings
Participates in on-going education / training
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Customs Brokerage License preferred, but not required
Customs and PGA business understanding - Minimum 1 year CHB experience
Ability to work with standard business technology tools
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
Research, excellent conflict resolution/creative problem-solving, and follow-up skills
Ability to articulate clearly through written and oral presentation
Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Operational Responsibilities (and other duties as may be assigned)
Direct all operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, human resources, administration and sales
Develop forecasts, financial objectives and business plans
Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately
Has direct, but not exclusive responsibility for operational personnel hiring, promotions, reviews, termination and disciplinary actions

Ensures quality system goals are consistently in focus and energies are directed to their achievement
Collaborates with Sales and Operations teams to maximize the company's presence with the mutual goals of retaining all existing business and gaining significant new business
Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities
Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs
Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
Business Development Responsibilities
Daily coaching and management of sales activity (prospecting, Insightly activity, sales pipeline management, weekly sales meetings, budget creation, etc.) as outlined in the Laufer Sales Management Playbook page
Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company
Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration
Directly manage an assigned territory together with branch sales team and demonstrate extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors in this area
Timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management tool
Daily management of sales people activity, call volume/schedule, prospecting and results
Participate in the creation of value-added solutions for customer's logistics needs, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit calculations
Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing any necessary customer paperwork
When needed, support AR (accounts receivable) collection
Attend training & development sessions to continue developing selling skills and updating product and service knowledge
Working knowledge of industry trends and forecasts
Qualifications

In This Role, You'll:
Operate a diesel-powered tractor-trailer on local routes - no layovers
Deliver food products safely and efficiently to restaurant customers
Load and unload using hand trucks or pallet jacks - this is a touch-freight role

Communicate clearly with dispatch, store personnel, and team members

What You'll Bring:
A valid Class A CDL, current DOT medical card, and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving and delivery experience
Ability to lift 5-75+ lbs., stay active throughout the shift, and work in multi-temperature environments (coolers/freezers)
Strong customer service skills and clear communication with dispatch, store teams, and fellow drivers
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation

The Schedule & Setting:
Local routes start between 3:30PM - 5PM and Remote Runs start between 10AM - 2PM. We also have routes going overnight.
Driver's schedule will be 4 days on 3 days off or 5 days on 2 days

Drivers make anywhere from 10-15 stops a day
All trailers equipped with lift gates - no ramps

Position Summary:
This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the import process for specific accounts. Key responsibilities include organizing and tracking shipments, overseeing costs and transport arrangements, and ensuring all documentation is processed for prompt customs clearance and on-time delivery. The position also requires ongoing communication with overseas agents, and partners, as well as contributing to the efficient operation of the department. Operational Responsibilities
Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing timely, professional, and solutions-focused support.
Maintain a customer-first mindset, going above and beyond to exceed expectations.
Foster and sustain positive relationships with customers by engaging in clear, respectful, and proactive communication.
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of air import shipment.
Receive and update shipment statuses in a timely manner; issue shipment alerts.
Track and Trace air import shipments.
Prepare A/N's, deliver orders, and other import related documentation.
Effective communication with internal/external customs brokers.
Review commercial documents.
Provide pricing and routing guidance to clients, agents, salespeople as necessary.
Ensure operational file accounting accuracy and maximum profitability for the organization.
Coordinate with our contracted vendors in procuring space and services.
Resolve issues quickly and effectively with internal and external partners.
Document client feedback, complaints, and suggestions to support continuous improvement.
Key Skills and Qualifications
3-5 years minimum prior air import experience preferred.
Preferred knowledge or experience includes air and road freight operations, aviation security or related training, such as aviation security, customs procedures and documentation, flight scheduling, freight tariffs and pricing, as well as the ability to prepare and finalize documentation.
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and effectively communicate clearly and concisely.
Pro-active, persistent and goal-driven, highly organized, personable and approachable, attentive to detail, reliable in seeing tasks through to completion, confident and engaging with commercial awareness.
Proven analytical skills.
Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
Willingness to undertake any other duty deemed reasonable by your manager.
IATA dangerous goods certification a plus but not required.

YOUR ROLE
