Pay: $15.50
Schedule: M-F, 7:30am - 4:30pm
Summary
Reports to the Maintenance Manager. Responsible for center laundry and keeping assigned areas clean and orderly, in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions
1. Provide laundry service to students by maintaining daily sheet turn-in process.
2. Provide laundry service to the center (e.g. health services facility maintenance, food services and vocational programs).
3. Provide work direction to students assigned to help with laundry detail
4. Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff and other center customers.
5. Support, promote and enforce the Job Corp' Zero Tolerance Policy.
7. Promote the development of career success standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
8. Maintain accountability of students and property adhere to safety practices; attend all required staff training.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Limited schooling with an aptitude for operating commercial laundry equipment. Must understand basic detergent compounds and their proper application. Must be able to read labels and follow written instructions. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Experience wit youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency enquired. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
