We take laundry seriously. So, we're searching for a Laundry Attendant with an exceptional eye for detail and a passion for perfection to make sure every single linen and guest item is washed, dried, and folded to meet our exceptional standards.
Clean and store linens/uniforms in a timely, organized manner to ensure that hotel's laundry and linen needs are met.
Receive soiled lines by bag, cart, or chute from the floors. Sort all articles by kind, color, and degree of soil. Inspect all laundry and linens and records all damaged or stained items.
Operate washers and dryers according to recommended capacity and other manufacturers' guidelines. Ensure necessary chemicals are added in the correct quantities prior to wash cycles.
Fold clean linens and store as appropriate. Operate linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder and table linen ironer machines.
Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
Monitor and control supplies and minimize waste within laundry facility.
Sort and record discarded linen into categories. Report damages or loss of linen to supervisor.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
May assist with other duties as assigned.
What We Need from You -
In the hotel industry we cater for our guest needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Even though a shift will be assigned, on occasions we may require working varying shifts across a 7-day period, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Must have the legal right to work in this country.
Must reside in the U.S. and be ready for in-person interviews when applying.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Some laundry experience and ability to speak English preferred.
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 400 pounds

A Laundry Worker is responsible for performing a variety of environmental service activities, as assigned, to keep the building operating as cleanly, efficiently, and effectively as possible. Housekeeping:

Always wear PPE Personal Protective Equipment: Gowns and gloves while handling soiled linen. Wears goggles and masks as needed.
Loads washers using ECHOLAB system as per instructions and training and assures appropriate environment of water temperature.
Safely operates and cleans laundry equipment.
Cleans and turns dryers on per manufacturer instructions and dries linen according to applicable item and per policy/procedure.
Safely turns off dryers, cleans dryer screens daily and removes lint from back of dryer.
Separates linen to be mended from other linens. Separates linens according to departments.
Checks linens to ensure quality/cleanliness daily. Make sure all linens are dried and folded properly.
Loads and covers all linens being transported and delivers linens according to proper count.

Otterbein has an employment opportunity for a Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant to provide clean living atmosphere, as well as linen and personal clothing for residents and clean linen to other team members. This position exists in order to enhance the quality of life and nurture the growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating, coordinating, and cooperating with others to attain goals. The assistant will perform general housekeeping and laundry duties, including transportation of laundry carts to specific locations, in a timely and organized manner. Shift: Full-time Days 7a - 3:30p with some flexibility
Pay: Starting at $12/Hr, increases with experience
Responsibilities
Washes, dries and irons linens, garments, drapes and residents' personal laundry, then hangs personal clothes on hangers.
Folds, counts, stacks, lifts, and hangs clean linen and personal clothing.
Returns laundered items to the proper storage areas.
Distributes personal laundry to resident rooms.
Reports broken or defective equipment, other maintenance concerns, and other unsafe or unsanitary conditions to supervisor immediately.
Assures that an adequate supply of clean laundry/linen is maintained to meet the daily needs of residents and other departments.
Interacts positively with residents, family members, personnel.
Mix and uses chemicals for special tasks.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Is economical and careful with supplies and equipment.
Follows all established policies, procedures and regulations to assure that quality resident care is maintained.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented laundry attendant to join our team for the PM Shift. As a laundry attendant, you will be responsible for washing, folding, and ironing the linen of the hotel.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
-Washing hotel linens, this can include room linens or banquet linens.
- Drying hotel linens
- Folding hotel linens properly based on the type and purpose of the linen.
