A Laundry Attendant is responsible for distributing clean linens to guest rooms, and/or having them ready for the housekeeping staff, to mirror the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. As a Laundry Attendant you are responsible for distributing clean linens to guest rooms in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Deliver linen to areas throughout the hotel and store linens according to size, color and department Load and deliver carts according to specifications Conduct inventory, complete appropriate inventory forms, and determine restocking requirements Maintain complete and accurate records of distributed linen Greet guests in a friendly manner What are we looking for? What will you do? * Operate and tend the machines including washing and drying articles, such as sheets, draperies, linens, and carpets ensuring the correct volume of detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other additives are used as needed * Sort, count and put away articles removed from dryers, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laundry closet * Inspect soiled articles to determine sources of stains, locate color imperfections, and to identify items requiring special treatment * Iron or press articles, fabrics, banquet linens, napkins, spa linen using hand irons or pressing machines * Record all loads washed and dried to calculate productivity including loss of linens due to stains, tears and wear More about you * Ability to work effectively with others in fast-paced environments, using effective communication skills with guests and team members * Basic math skills * Laundry worker experience in a hotel or other high-volume location is beneficial * No experience or diploma required Physical requirements * Exposure to varying temperatures depending on weather and how many machines are in operation at any given time * Frequent standing, bending, walking, and lifting during shifts Shift details Days Evenings Holidays M-F Evenings as needed Weekends Events OT as needed Who we are Delaware North operates concessions, premium dining, and retail services at the Cincinnati Reds Great American Ball Park and has been a partner of the Reds since 1936.
