Key responsibilities:
Handle legislative, regulatory, market, and statistical research requests
Provide data for internal publications, training materials, seminars, and client-facing content
Conduct SEC-related research, including current and historical filings, precedent language, and agreement review
Perform corporate and transactional research on companies, individuals, governance matters, and deal activity
Support litigation research by locating dockets, pleadings, filings, and case materials
Manage alerts and monitoring for filings, news, dockets, and other updates
Coordinate with third-party research vendors to ensure quality and confidentiality
Assist with onboarding and training for new attorneys and paralegals
Evaluate research tools and resources and recommend improvements
Requirements
Master's in Library Science required
3+ years of research experience in a large law firm or financial services environment
Strong database research skills (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg, PACER, Capital IQ, FactSet, Intelligize, Refinitiv, and similar tools)
Advanced proficiency with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

The annual base salary range is $110,000 to $140,000. The Role
We're looking for a Head of Legal to build and own the legal function end-to-end. You'll be a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, while also rolling up your sleeves to handle the day-to-day legal work of a high-growth consumer company.
