RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary focus will be agricultural law and regulatory issues affecting farmers. There will be some work related to insurance policies and compliance.
The position offers an opportunity to interact with governmental agencies, industry groups, and businesses and individuals associated with production agriculture.
Collaborate with department staff to contribute on various processes and projects.
Undertake special assignments as instructed by department manager.
Build relationships with department stakeholders and contribute toward company and department goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: completion of a bachelor's degree and at least one year of law school at an ABA approved law school is required. However, recent law school graduates waiting for bar exam results are also encouraged to apply. Excellent research and writing skills with a proven track record as an excellent team player.
Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
An agricultural or insurance backgrounds are helpful but not required.
