· Coordinate schedules for conferences among the team and with outside counsel.
· Arrange travel and logistics including booking flights, car rental and hotel accommodations for internal executives. Complete expense reports for travel and related reimbursement.
· Schedule meetings, handle logistics, prepare and send materials for review prior to the meetings.
· Interact professionally with outside counsel, members of the Board of Directors, other Family Dollar executives and associates.
· Draft basic correspondence and revise legal documents, with oversight from attorneys.

The Immigration Attorney will carry out all key contract activities related to legal services for unaccompanied children. The attorney will prepare cases for children in or recently released from ORR custody, up to age 18. Representation includes all immigration-related matters, such as state court proceedings for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), removal defense, appeals, Know Your Rights presentations, and legal screenings. Other legal assistance for unrepresented children may include legal referrals or referrals to supportive services (e.g., child advocates or social services); individual or group preparation for immigration court appearances; assistance with immigration-related custody or placement matters (such as release requests for children aging out of ORR custody); and support with filing immigration paperwork, including Change of Venue, Change of Address, employment authorization documents (EADs), or I-94 corrections.

Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is looking for Summer Associates, to work on various projects in the Richmond/Hampton Roads area. This position will provide field and management exposure on a variety of project types including, civil, utility, bridge, and structures ranging from $1 million to over $500 million dollars. Additionally, with our Summer Associate Program, you will have several opportunities for networking, community service, and learning to help you grow personally and professionally.
Qualifications:
* Outstanding communication, organizational and time-management skills.
* A team player with leadership abilities.
* General understanding of and/or the desire to work in the heavy highway / civil construction industry.
* Ready and willing to learn new skills and enhance their career growth.
* Proficient in computer and corresponding programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening.
During your summer your assignment could include:
* Learning how Shirley acquires new work by soliciting and providing preliminary evaluations of subcontractor bids, performing quantity takeoffs, and scoping of bid packages.
* Assisting field supervision with self-perform and subcontractor crews by assisting with schedule planning / management, tracking daily quantities, receiving / tracking tickets, and reviewing Forman Daily Timecards.
* Learning the business and financial management associated with a project. Including: administering subcontracts, reviewing requests for payment, managing submittals and RFI's, tracking change orders, and tracking budgets.
* Establish a positive working relationship with customers and co-workers while learning about the company's culture and policies.
