Hall & Evans is seeking a candidate with legal assistant or paralegal experience to support its complex civil litigation practice in our Denver office. This position can require billable hours.
This position can offer a hybrid working schedule (3 days/office and 2 days/home) after successfully completing the training period.
Requirements
Assemble and file documents electronically;
Prepare motion and discovery shells, motion filing;
Expert coordination for depositions and trials;
Assist with preparation of trial/mediation/arbitration documents;
Interface professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court clerks;
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
Excellent technology skills;
Process payment requests and coordinates the client billing process;
Maintain client files and contact information;
Schedule meetings, conference calls, depositions, court hearings, and travel arrangements;
Outlook/LSS calendaring, and iManage document management program experience is highly preferred;
Effective verbal and written communication skills;
Well-developed skills in editing, proofreading, and grammar;
Ability to anticipate problems, find solutions, and prioritize work accordingly;
Well-developed time management and organizational skills;
Effectively manage a high-volume workload with critical deadlines;
Ability to exercise a high degree of personal integrity, confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgment;
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel);
Knowledge of manipulation and editing of PDF documents using Acrobat Adobe;
Ability to work overtime as necessary;
Ability to do billable hours, preferred;
Other administrative tasks, as assigned, and;
Complex defense litigation experience is highly preferred.
Minimum of high school graduation; business school, or related professional legal secretarial degree or paralegal certificate strongly preferred.
The hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $77,300 annually.
This position will be posted until February 27, 2026.
