**Law Enforcement Instructor**

Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking full-time professional law enforcement instructors to support beginner and advanced courses in law enforcement tactics, officer safety, and policies and procedures. Instructors must be highly qualified trained law enforcement instructors who will provide practical training to students. Primarily, training will be held in the vicinity of Cheltenham, Maryland; however, training may occasionally occur in Washington, D.C., in the vicinity of Quantico, Virginia, and rarely at other sites around the United States.

**Education & Experience Requirements**

+ Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or Police Science, exercise science, physical education, kinesiology or equivalent.

+ Minimum of 10 years LE experience

+ Completion of Law Enforcement Instructor Training Program (LEITP) or equivalent

+ Ability to work rotating hours/shifts

+ Experience in developing/executing lesson plans & exercises in LE setting

**_NOTE:_** _5 + years LE instructor experience can be a substitute for education, where 1 year of experience = 1 year of collegiate level education._

**Fire Department and Law Enforcement EMS Educator - Per Diem**

Drive excellence in emergency medical services. Play a key role with a world-class academic center. Take your professional expertise to the next level. You can do all this and more at UCLA Health.

In this key position, you will coordinate our Continuing Education and Quality Improvement Program for fire departments and law enforcement agencies throughout Los Angeles County. This will involve collaborating closely with the Continuing Education Program Director to coordinate and develop a master calendar of dates and times to deliver vital continuing education courses. You will:

* Deliver state-of-the-art presentations based on quality improvement findings, mandated education and the department needs

* Serve as the Clinical Director for the Continuing Education Program

* Perform continuing education needs assessments

* Complete and maintain all necessary documentation

* Prepare for the DHS EMS Agency Continuing Education audit

* Serve as an on-site liaison with the client while at the department

* Monitor individual and overall department performance

* Develop remediation plans to address individual or department weaknesses

* Serve as mentor and role model for emergency department paramedic trainees

Qualifications

We're seeking a self-motivated Registered Nurse with:

* Health-related Bachelor's degree

* Five or more years of experience in a critical care setting

* Two years of experience as a Mobile Intensive Care Nurse

* Previous teaching experience in emergency medical services or related field

* Background as a prehospital care coordinator for a base hospital preferred

* Exceptional time management and organizational skills

* Completion of NAEMSE/NHTSA EMS educator course, Firefighter 1A/1B, or American Heart Association 'Core' instructor course

* Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

* Ability to translate complex concepts into relatable messages

* Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

* California drivers' license
