Responsibilities: Create guidelines for admission to the club and conduct interviews of 7th grade students. Develop goals and timeline for opportunities of community and school engagement. Hold weekly club meetings that include learning and teaching for students of different cultures, backgrounds and experiences that encourages self-awareness. Plan Culture Night, a culminating event held in May that celebrates the diversity of our school community. Promote an environment of inclusivity and respect, empathy, and understanding. Encourage open communication for students to express ideas for creativity and problem-solving. Communicate effectively with Director of Extended Day, Upper School Head of School, and parents/guardians. Maintain positive relationships with school staff including Heads of School, secretaries, teachers, custodians, and any staff of key importance. Inform Director of Extended Day and Upper School Head of School of general progress of the program and immediately regarding incident/behavior reports on children or with concerns. Relay pertinent information in a timely manner to the Director of Extended Day and the Upper School Head of School. Maintain accurate documentation of attendance including absences. Available to work one afternoon each week from 3:45 PM to 5:00 PM between January 12, 2026 and June 5, 2026. Inform the Extended Day Director when new/additional supplies are needed. Ensure that all students are respectful of school property and school rules are followed. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Summary The K-6 Paraprofessional plays a key role in supporting classroom instruction and maintaining a productive learning environment.
