Position Overview: As an Attorney with our firm, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to protect the interests of policyholders. What You'll Do:
Client Representation: Be the voice of policyholders, representing them in first-party property insurance matters such as coverage disputes, claim denials, and bad faith claims. Your dedication to achieving favorable outcomes for clients will be paramount.
Thorough Documentation: Conduct meticulous review of insurance policies, claim documentation, correspondence, and related materials to assess coverage, identify potential issues, and build a strong case for clients.
Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload of first-party property insurance cases, conducting comprehensive legal research, drafting legal documents, pleadings, and motions, and ensuring all necessary documentation is organized and maintained.
Negotiation Skills: Employ your strong negotiation abilities to engage with insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in insurance disputes, seeking advantageous settlements for our clients.
Litigation Excellence: Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Your persuasive advocacy skills will be pivotal in presenting compelling arguments.
Collaboration: Collaborate with a talented team of experts, fellow attorneys, paralegals and legal assistants, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment to ensure seamless case management and optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law and admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
8+ years of litigation experience (experience with first-party property insurance preferred).
Exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills to develop compelling legal strategies and articulate arguments effectively.
Strong negotiation prowess and the ability to advocate assertively for clients' interests.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Peregrine Team is hiring for a Labor and Employment Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. This position is a full-time, contract to hire role with full benefits and competitive pay. About the Role
The Labor and Employment Attorney provides legal advice and representation on workplace-related matters, including compliance, employee relations, wage and hour issues, labor negotiations, and employment disputes. This role manages cases and provides counsel to ensure that clients maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations while minimizing legal risks.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and workplace safety regulations.
Represent clients in employment-related litigation, arbitration, mediations, and administrative hearings before agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, and state labor boards.
Draft, review, and revise employment contracts, workplace policies, severance agreements, and compliance documents.
Conduct legal research on evolving employment law issues and prepare memoranda or guidance for client use.
Assist clients with labor relations matters, including union negotiations, collective bargaining agreements, and grievance resolution.
Provide training and guidance to management and HR professionals on employment law compliance and risk management.
Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and other team members to ensure effective case handling.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed and in good standing with the applicable state bar.
2+ years of experience practicing in labor and employment law preferred.
Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and client needs simultaneously.
