Position Summary: We're looking for a Production Worker for the Niles, OH facility. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks involved in the production of L.B. Foster products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Production Workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production. Assist with die installation, capability to set and change dies, first part verification, ability to polish and perform preventative maintenance on dies, and can fit and assemble die components into existing dies. Set up and properly run the various equipment in the machine shop including lathes, mills, saws, drill presses, grinders etc. to meet engineering specifications. Ensure all proper housekeeping is completed for the machine shop. Ensure all safety requirements are maintained while setting up, running, and maintaining the machine shop equipment. Maintain all required tools for successful set-up, operation, and maintenance of the machine shop equipment. Help as needed to back up various Tech Center personnel. Works with all other plant personnel to ensure efficient operation. Assist management team with any other duties or responsibilities as required. Qualifications and Skills: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 4 years related experience or training; a must. Solid knowledge and experience with tools and equipment used for machining parts and maintaining metal stamping dies. Including but not limited to lathes, milling machine, drill press, surface grinder, and I.D./O.D. grinders. Good work record; Strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently. Experience in a high volume fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. Ability to work weekends.
