Reports to: Lancaster City Worship Leader Hours Commitment: Part time (10-15 hours per week; 2 weekends a month). Hours include Wednesday evening rehearsal and 2 Sunday gatherings. Objective: To promote life change by developing relationships and leading volunteers to create excellent environments by preparing, maintaining, and operating audio, video and lighting systems throughout the campus location. Required Skills and Experiences Innovative and self-leading, able to work with and motivate volunteers in a team environment. Ability to make decisions in time-sensitive, live productions. Ongoing physical ability to setup/teardown equipment, climb ladders, and lift equipment overhead. Ability to recruit, train and lead people. Primary Responsibilities: Relational (50%) Build a culture of growth and excellence within the location's tech team. Recruit, train, and incorporate highly effective volunteers to the location's tech team. Care for and point volunteers towards a growing relationship with Christ. Cast vision by sharing stories of Life change and celebrating wins. Primary Responsibilities: Technical (50%) Troubleshoot malfunctions and errors. Weekend Gathering preparation. Own your location's auditorium (preparation, maintenance and organization). Adapt systems to accomplish new goals. Schedule volunteers. Resource other production environments at the location. Operate and train volunteers to operate sound, lighting and video equipment. Workapproximately 22 weekends per year. Manage console show files and patching to ensure a consistent, user-friendly experience across all lighting spaces. Collaborate with contractors and creative partners to implement lighting and environmental designs that align with Worship Center's creative direction, both in person and online. Assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of AVL systems, supporting reliability and stewardship campus-wide. Support ongoing AVL improvements by adhering to established standards, offering input for documentation and process refinement, and ensuring system consistency campus-wide. Collaborate with the Technical Director to develop short-term, long-term, and critical backup plans for equipment reliability and longevity. Manage the lighting budget and oversee assigned projects within the overall AVL framework. Serve in an occasional rotation of roles beyond lighting for weekend services. Become cross-trained and cross-train other team members. Assist with other "all hands on deck" projects, events, or other production duties ministry-wide as the Technical Director assigns.
