    The Financial Aid Assistant is primarily responsible for providing customer service to students and support to the Financial Aid Office staff. This position is the first point of contact for students and families interacting with the Financial Aid Office and will be responsible for providing assistance with general questions and requests as well as providing counsel on how to access common resources. The Financial Aid Assistant will provide critical assistance to the Financial Aid Counselors and Financial Aid Directors through office management, state grant management, and document submission management. Financial Aid Assistant will provide support for students and their families from acceptance at the University through graduation. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Office Organization -- tasks such as managing the shredding schedule, ordering office supplies, submission of work orders for the office, submission of expense reports, managing common email and voicemail for the department (reviewing and distributing messages, out of office responses and voicemail messages) * Front Line Support/Customer Service - provide professional and friendly assistance to students and families who walk in and who contact the office by phone. Triaging the students' needs to provide assistance or a smooth handoff to the appropriate staff member by listening to hear the need and proactively responding. * Mail Receipt Management - sorting and distributing department mail to the appropriate staff member for processing. This also includes picking up mail, facilitating overnight mailings and preparing outgoing mail. * Electronic Form and Storage Oversight - Assistance in missing document completion for financial aid eligibility through receiving and approving dynamic forms, preparing them for electronic storage, and updating the administrative software system for receipt of the documents. Communicating with students regarding the status of missing documents and assistance with accessing or completing the documents would also be provided. Scanning of physical items to the electronic storage system and assistance in research with the electronic storage system will be included. * State Grant Fund Assistance - provide assistance with state grant funding management for reconciliation, request and receipt of funds. * Federal Work Study Coordination and Eligibility Tracking -- Review and coordination of federal work study funds in conjunction with payroll and career services to help ensure all funds are accounted for and requested in a timely manner and any allocation requirements are met to remain in compliance with work study regulations. * Outside Scholarship receipt management---updating aid code for receipt of funds in the administrative software system, making documentation of funds received in text notes for tracking, logging check on shared scholarship log with Cashier to facilitate reconciliations, assisting with refunding of outside scholarship funds to the payee if students withdraw. * Assistance with cancelled candidacy management - cancelling aid for students who withdraw before beginning classes, updating the communication threads to stop requests for missing documents, returning any scholarships already received and coordinating with the Financial Aid Representative to ensure cancelled prospects are closed out thoroughly. * DUAL Credit Waiver and Scholarship Management -- Coordinating the application of the Dual Credit tuition waivers or scholarships - applying the award in the administrative software system, updating any document tracking needed for aid eligibility through coordination with the Student Accounts Representatives. * Renewal Confirmation Request Oversight -- Coordination of student submission of yearly renewal documentation for certain scholarships and tuition waiver applications. * Confidentiality Responsibility -- Maintaining confidentiality in all dealings to ensure that the University remains in compliance with federal regulations related to Title IV Funding and FERPA. QUALIFICATIONS: The Financial Aid Assistant must possess at least a high school diploma and a high level of computer literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, attention to detail and precision in data entry are essential. Previous experience in a fast- paced office setting is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead the Office of Spiritual Life and provide leadership and vision for campus-wide student spiritual formation. * Lead the Office of Spiritual Life, including the Spiritual Life Coordinator and Missionary-in-Residence. * With the Spiritual Life Team, provides vision and direction for the various aspects of campus spiritual life: * Oversee and manage the budget of the Office of Spiritual * Administer the Spiritual Life assessment plan, collecting, analyzing, and reporting assessment data in a timely way to the appropriate university offices. * Direct and lead Chapel/Convocation programming * Monitors and administers the mandatory Spiritual Formation Credit * Plan an integrated Chapel program each year and semester * Host Chapel speakers, including arranging transportation, housing, and * Develop a chapel/convocation program website with a schedule of all chapel activities, by semester. * Works in cooperation with staff, students, and musicians in scheduling music ensembles, soloists, and other types of performances for the Chapel program. * Supervise student Worship Leaders, who provide musical praise and worship in Chapel. * Supervise student Chapel Interns, who assist in planning and executing the Chapel program. * Advances the university's discipleship efforts. * Select, train, and supervise Spiritual Life Assistants for each campus living area to provide dorm devotionals, service projects, and a ministry of presence across the campus. * Select, equip, and organize faculty/staff Life Group facilitators, as part of the campus discipleship program. * Provide pastoral care and spiritual counsel for students. * Select, train, and encourage LeTourneau Student Ministries (LSM) cabinet to facilitate student programs for on-campus and off-campus ministry and to foster a university emphasis on prayer, service, and spiritual growth. * Participate in the training and selection of student Leaders, attend the fall and spring IMPACT retreats, and other IMPACT events as needed. * Foster meaningful local and global engagement through the church and its mission. * Interfaces with local pastors and churches to encourage off-campus student church involvement, including through such activities as the church fair and church directory. * Interface with local community and faith-based ministries to encourage student involvement through community outreach activities. * Provide oversight of the student leadership for the various campus ministries teams, which includes the President of LeTourneau Student Ministries and the LSM cabinet. * Provide oversight of student mission ventures, both national and international, which include Spring Break Missions and Summer Missions scholarships. * Participate in public-facing events such as preview events, new student orientation, president's advisory council, and other opportunities as appropriate. * Coordinate with other university departments and individuals to care for the pastoral needs of * Serves on the university's Care Team. * Networks with the Director of Counseling for appropriate referral of counseling situations. * Works closely with the Office of Residential Life to ensure continuity and direction of spiritual programming for residential students. * Coordinate with the Center for Academic Ministry, School of Theology and Vocation, and other departments and groups to provide well-rounded, integrated spiritual development structures. * Assists in crisis intervention situations to offer support and follow-up with students, staff, faculty, and families. * Teach at least one academic course per year in the School of Theology and Vocation * Perform other duties pertinent to the position as assigned by the Vice President of Student Affairs or the President. QUALIFICATIONS: * An earned doctorate (preferred) or Master's degree in Theology, Divinity, or a related field. * Experience in the pastoral care of college-age adults. * At least five years of ministry or pastoral experience.
