Summary:
As a Lead Teacher at Enchanted Care, you will create, manage, and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives. Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school, and the collective/individual interest of its staff and student body.

• North Carolina Virtual Public High School (NCVPHS) o Registers and enrolls students for Learn and Earn and NCVPHS courses. o Tracks the student's grades and login time. o Works with teachers to update them on each student and the progress in the course. o Communicates with the virtual teacher and the Learn and Earn instructor.
• Credit Recovery During the School Day o Works with counselors to determine which students could benefit from attending credit recovery. o Manages the students using PLATO and Study Island. o Submits grade changes to the Data Manager.
• Grade Recovery o Develops a list of students needing grade recovery and works with teachers to ensure all qualified students attend grade recovery. o Contacts the parent of each student attending grade recovery. o Collects the contracts from the students.
• Data Analysis o Attends data guru meetings and works with all data files. o Develops and presents data during faculty meetings. o Presents reports and analysis of all school data to the Principal and Assistant Principal as required.
• Academic Student Tracking o Extracts reports from Home Base for students failing every six weeks and semester. o Works with the Guidance Counselor and teachers of students failing during the interim and six weeks grading period. o Produces and prints interim reports, six weeks reports, and end-of-semester failure report. o Briefs Principal and the Assistant Principal on all reports.
• Discipline o Executes the School-Wide Discipline Plan, which requires students to attend After School Detention (ASD) when they are disciplined for minor violations. o Contacts parents when students are assigned ASD and Saturday School.
• Web-based Program o Trains the staff on PLATO, Study Island, and any new web-based programs. Will be responsible for using PLATO and Study Island for grade recovery.
• Saturday School Notices o Contacts parents and students. o Provides a letter to students who have to attend Saturday School. • Performs other related work as required.

St. Joseph Montessori School (SJMS) was established in 1968 as a preschool preparation program for St. Joseph Academy, operated by the Sisters of Notre Dame. The Academy consisted of grades one through twelve. Although declining enrollment forced the closing of the 100-year-old high school in 1977, a cooperative effort between the Sisters and the parent body resulted in the transition of SJMS into a private Pre-K-8 Diocesan Montessori school with nonprofit status and an elected parent Board of Trustees.
In 2021, SJMS opened its first Toddler program, accepting students as young as 18 months of age. In 2023, St. Joseph Montessori School became the first American Montessori Society Accredited Montessori School in Central Ohio and is 1 of 222 AMS accredited schools worldwide.
We offer an alternative educational program to families in Central Ohio, serving families from 44 different zip codes. Job Description: Support the academic, social, and emotional growth of the individual child in a multi-age classroom. This position is for our Upper Elementary Classroom with a multi-age classroom of students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. The Upper Elementary teacher serves as a Montessori Guide for children in their second plane of development.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum
Support the academic, social, and emotional growth of the individual child
Observe and guide the children through their learning

Credential from the Association Montessori Society, Association Montessori Internationale, or from a MACTE-approved Teacher Education Program (preferred). SJMS will train non-MACTE credentialed teachers in return for a commitment to work.

State of Ohio Teachers License (Resident Educator or 5-year professional license) in area/level of teaching
CPR/First Aid certification (SJMS will provide if not already completed)
Willingness to complete professional development on an ongoing basis. This includes any additional safety training required for the position.
For those with a 5-year or Permanent Non-Tax they will submit an individual professional development plan (IPDP) to the Diocesan Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC). Those individuals who are Resident Educators will gain their hours from their work and time spent with their mentors.
Participate in the 5-Tiered staff evaluation process including self-evaluations and personal/professional goal setting.

Provide coverage of breaks and lunches for teaching staff, in coordination with the Center Coordinator
Ensure adult/child ratio is always maintained, ensuring all children are within sight and sound at all times.
Follows the lead of the teaching team to ensure quality services for children and families.
Assist with promoting communications with center team members to ensure that information is appropriately shared about children and families.
Communication challenging behaviors to immediate supervisors to determine cause and implement preventive measures, teach a new behavior, communication, and/or social skill to minimize or eliminate the behavior.
Follow appropriate practices to keep children safe during all activities, including, at a minimum:
Reporting of suspected or known child abuse and neglect to Franklin County Children Services according to agency procedures and the Ohio Revised Code Section 2151.421.
Safe sleep practices, including ensuring that all sleeping arrangements for children under 18 months of age use firm mattresses or cots, as appropriate, and for children under 12 months, soft bedding materials or toys must not be used.
Appropriate indoor and outdoor supervision of children at all times.

Teacher's Assistant/Floater

Job Description
Under the direction of center administration, the floater will execute classroom activities and help maintain a classroom environment that is developmentally appropriate and meets the individual needs of children. The floater position will move into different classrooms to help maintain the standards of the center. Classrooms may include infants, toddlers, preschool, and school age. The floater will help support the lead teacher, assistant teacher, and the teacher's aide in providing a safe and educational learning environment for the children.
Major Responsibilities and Tasks
Program Core Features
Provide a high-quality learning environment that incorporates evidence curriculum and instructional activities.
Support the teachers to provide the highest quality of care to the children.
Attend and participate in all scheduled training in support of ongoing professional development.
Curriculum Development
Positively engage with children and use appropriate Conscious Discipline methods, as outlined in CWCC's policy.
Perform the functions of this position with a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.
Assist the teachers in implementing lesson plans.
Assessment
Identify concerns or developmental milestones of primary care children to the lead teacher.
Home-School Connections
Develop relationships with families by providing open communication and encouraging parent input.
Interpret school programs for parents to strengthen the understanding of the child's needs and the importance of an early learning environment for the continued development of the child.
Other
Attend staff meetings, as requested.
In cooperation with other staff, complete daily cleaning duties.
Carry out routine duties such as meal preparations, diapering, toileting, hand washing, and supervision of children at all times.
Ensure classroom materials, furniture, and supplies are properly maintained.
Any other duties assigned by center administration and lead teacher.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma
Must be 18 years old or older
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of teaching experience in a childcare environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 25-35 lbs.
Ability to walk, kneel, sit, and stand for long periods.
