A lead assistant is tasked with monitoring the operations of a specific department in a company. He/She works under the supervision of a team leader and helps with the training of new staff. Also, he/she implements strategic policies, identifies business opportunities, and develops services that would bring more revenue to the company. As a lead assistant, you are responsible for responding to customers' questions and reviewing complaints. You will ensure the resolution for all concerns to maintain customers' satisfaction and the company's reputation. Also, you will develop and implement promotional campaigns for products and services.

The most commonly required educational qualification is a bachelor's degree. Applicants must possess communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and must be comfortable with working in a team and a fast-paced environment. Lead assistants make an average salary of $37,027 per year, which is about $17.8 per hour. The range varies between $24,000 and $54,000.
