Meadowbrook Country Club is looking for a fun, outgoing and creative personality to provide high level of bar service to our Members and their guests. Our Members are warm and engaging. Services are provided in our newly renovated indoor dining room and expanded bar, as well as an outdoor bar and patio dining.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Create cocktail specials and menus Product ordering, monitoring, rotation and inventory Overseeing setup and closing of bars Train and lead other bartenders Hands on approach that includes bartending, setup and closing based on staffing and scheduling Address and resolve beverage issues when they arise Ensure proper and consistent pours for high quality beverage service and controlling costs Learn names of Members, spouses and families in order to warmly greet them upon arrival Positive and energetic attitude Team focused


Qualifications:

Prior bartending experience is required Product knowledge including craft and classic cocktails, beer and wine Initiative to continue to learn and create beverage specials, as well as keeping the menu trendy Problem solve in order to quickly correct Member or staff issues Ability to walk, stand, carry heavy items, work outdoors in the summer, work in face-paced environment Willingness to work peak hours, including nights, weekends and holidays Work with closing managers in closing the building on a rotating schedule

POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the primary contact for guest in the bar, the Bartender is responsible for selling, preparing and serving mixed beverages, wine and food. Duties include preparing and serving beverages, overseeing bar maintenance, making menu suggestions, delivering food and drinks, describing the dishes to guests, recommending wine selections, monitoring guest satisfaction, and managing inventory. Must be pleasant, conscientious, and professional with an extensive knowledge of mixology, product, and alcoholic beverage selections. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service.

A motivated beverage professional who is organized, passionate, and professional. You will be a leading part of our beverage team with a passion for educating and enthralling our guests. You have amazing attention to detail, and expansive knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer. You work well as part of a team, work well under pressure, and have experience in inventory management and beverage costing. You have a strong desire to learn and take a leading role in staff education and development.

3-5 years' experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high volume bar or restaurant Exceptional communication skills Expansive food and beverage knowledge Experience in recipe development, inventory management, and staff education Experience in promotions and social media marketing is a plus Intellectual curiosity Ability to work clean, organized, and as part of a team Ability to move and lift 40 pounds at a time At least 21 years of age Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
