As a Lead Build Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing programs and processes to enable building high quality launch vehicles. You will drive initiatives with technical leadership and work across functions to standardize operations to facilitate the rapid building of hardware. You understand how to architect systems that improve reliability without the process being overburdensome. This position includes, but is not limited to, managing the AS9100 certification process, nonconformance and corrective actions, and engineering change orders. We are looking for a Lead Build Reliability Engineer who is action oriented and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Define, develop, and lead the implementation of numerous processes and systems, such as FOD and environmental controls, equipment calibration, receiving inspections, and electrostatic discharge control Take ownership of the nonconformance and engineering change order systems Collaborate with technical and corporate leadership to drive operational process improvements Work with manufacturing engineers and technicians to develop and implement manufacturing and integration best practices Manage the AS9100 certification process and implement systems and processes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:5-7 year's experience with quality, manufacturing, or design engineering Strong understanding of configuration control, traceability, and verification methods Proficiency in enterprise systems including MRP/ERP, Teamcenter, and JiraExperience supporting AS9100 certification Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail Excellent project management and program management skills Bachelors degree in electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, material sciences, or similar engineering degree from an accredited university
