The Lead Cashier role will include greeting customers when entering and leaving the store. This position is also responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy checkout area. The desired candidate must be able to handle cash transactions with customers using the cash registers. The cashier will be responsible for receipts, frequent buyer discounts and must be able to bag merchandise. The lead cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to promote customer satisfaction. The Lead cashier will be able to handle non escalated customer concerns.

Essential Duties

  • Greet customers as they enter the store to shop
  • Processes customer transactions by ringing the sale on a cash register, collecting payment, making change, bagging the merchandise and thanking the customer
  • Assists customers with shopping needs
  • Pulls racks for transporting clothing from the back room to the sales floor and places clothes on sales floor racks. Ensures that clothes are placed on sales racks with similar types and colors of clothing
  • Rearranges clothing on racks and items on shelves, removes items from the floor, dusts and pulls clothes from racks that are too full to ensure that the sales floor is kept clean, neat and properly displayed
  • Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to the Store Manager or other member of management.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Summary
Crossroads Trading, a popular resale shop with stores throughout the country, is looking for a Lead Cashier. Responsibilities
  • Working at the Point of Sale (POS) counter and handling all sales-related tasks, including operating POS software, counting cash, making change and providing customers trade cards for the clothing they’ve sold.
  • Assisting customers on the sales floor, in the dressing room, at the register and buy counter.
  • Processing merchandise so it is ready for the sales floor.
  • Helping merchandise the store by creating window and interior displays.
  • Keeping the store clean and presentable.
  • Assisting with store security, which includes checking bags and monitoring the dressing rooms and other parts of the store.

Qualifications

What You ll Do

The Cashier Lead ensures proper ticket handling and guest payments while delivering service that exceeds our customer/client s expectations. The Cashier Lead is responsible for taking payments and assisting guests as they enter or exit the property.   • Answers telephone in a prompt and courteous manner, when required.
  • Immediately report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
  • Communicate professionally at all times with guests, client, and teammates.
