Lead crew member job description

We are an aerospace R&D company building experimental and certified airships. We are developing and manufacturing advanced technologies to dramatically increase the capabilities and lower the cost of 21st-century airships.

LTA's airships will have the ability to complement and even accelerate humanitarian disaster response and relief efforts, especially in remote areas that cannot be easily accessed by plane and boat due to limited or destroyed infrastructure. We ultimately aim to create a family of aircraft with zero emissions that would substantially reduce the global carbon footprint of aviation when used for shipping goods and moving people.

We are seeking Lead Airship Ground Crew members to help lead a team in the safe flight and operation of our airships.

Responsibilities:Works under the direction of the Crew Chief, performing duties necessary to maintain safe, efficient operation of the airship. Participates in airship launching and landing activities, as well as the ground handling of the airship during hangar exit and entry.Tends to airship systems management watch in rotational shifts with coworkers when the airship is moored on the mast.Drives ground support vehicles pertinent to mission objectives.Follows all safety regulations in accordance with company policy and the Department of Transportation.Assists airship mechanics and hangar technicians in performing tasks as necessary.Performs hangar operations and maintenance support functions as directed.Performs ground support equipment (GSE) and maintenance duties as directed by the Crew Chief and assigned team leads.Represents the company and airship operations in a professional and appropriate manner in all aspects on and off the job.Participates in Pathfinder 1 pressure and fire watch duties

Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Must be able to pass a TSA background check Ability to work at heights Valid Class A CDL preferred DOT-compliant team members will be eligible for compensation adjustment adjustment Class A CDL drivers will be eligible for compensation adjustment Experience in voyages, traveling transcontinentally, and airship operations is a plus!

Physical & Compliance Requirements:Capable of lifting and transporting up to 50 pounds Weight restrictions due to equipment limitations: must be able to work on equipment with a 300 pound weight limitation, with tools weighing an average of 30 pounds (total weight of 270 pounds or less) Capable of sitting or standing for long periods of time Able to work in outdoor-type weather conditions year-round Background check clearance Fully vaccinated against COVID

• Minimum Age: 16+ years old
• Requirements:
  • The ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds
  • The ability to reach and move items from as high as 6 feet and as low as 6 inches off the ground
  • The ability to control and utilize equipment safely and correctly, such as the sheeter machine, vertical cutting mixer (must be 18 years or over), the sauce ladle, cheese cups, pan grippers, spatula, pizza and dough cutter, different types of knives, can opener, pastry brush, scales, microwave, telephone, cash register, etc
  • The ability to "shakerboard" by working outside holding up a sign (must be 18 years or over)
  • The ability to apply pressure to cut through and to clean products
  • The ability to count, separate and weigh all types of food products and inventory items
  • The ability to communicate to customers and co-workers (i.e. reading, speaking, hearing, writing)
  • The ability to understand direction, instructions and product specifications
  • The ability to process and complete customer orders
• Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must be dependable, hard working and have the ability to handle pressure situations and stress
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to express a positive attitude towards others
  • Must have the ability to understand and follow direction and instructions
  • Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Previous retail or customer contact experience preferred
  • Must be able to provide documentation the proves their eligibility to work in the United States
