A Custodian at Holy Family Parish is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and care for physical assets and spaces. She or he is responsible for ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for visitors, parishioners, students, and staff to grow in their discipleship with the Lord. The Custodian will report to the Facilities Manager and be a constructive member of a team of individuals dedicated to caring for the grounds and buildings of the parish.
The Custodian will:
· Provide general maintenance support to the Facilities Manager for assigned tasks.
· Clean spaces and rooms throughout the parish to ensure that they are welcoming and functioning for staff, visitors, students, and parishioners.
· Assist with the landscaping and litter clean-up of parish grounds to provide safe and inviting spaces for the community.
· Conduct light repair work for HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems as needed.
· As needed, maintain paint coatings for interior and exterior walls and spaces throughout the property.
· Assist with event set up, including the removal of tables and chairs, plus post event clean up
· Additionally, be available for other duties as assigned by the Pastor or Facilities Manager
Physical Demands
Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
