Team Overview:
We're seeking a highly skilled Saviynt Solution Architect to join our team! In this role, you'll leverage your deep Saviynt knowledge to mature the newly introduced greenfield by expanding the systems under management, centralizing access governance to meet regulatory and risk success criteria, automate processes, and ensure optimal platform functionality. We are seeking a full-time GIS Developer with deep expertise in python and spatial data engineering to design, build, and optimize geospatial workflows. You'll play a critical role in our utility database footprint expansion, updating ETL workflows, and improving general data processes.
Primary Functions:
Daily utilization of GIS products and spatial databases: ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, SQL
Create, update, manage, and use spatial ETL pipelines connecting Esri, PostGIS, and open-source environments
Design and develop Python-based geoprocessing tools and automation scripts using both Esri and open-source GIS libraries.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web applications that integrate spatial data and visualization tools for internal use
Assist in database footprint expansion
QA/QC of converted GIS data
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in GIS adjacent field (GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, etc.)
3-5 years of professional experience in GIS development or spatial data engineering; preferably with ESRI or QGIS
Experience with ArcGIS Server
Expert proficiency in Python with libraries such as:
ArcPy, GeoPandas, Shapely, Fiona, Rasterio, PyProj
Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS and SQL query optimization.
Familiarity with web development frameworks (Flask, Streamlit) and front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
Detail-oriented and self-motivated, ability to operate independently working remotely
Willing to work in Downtown KC 1-2 days per week
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with utilities and/or government agencies
Experience with Leaflet, Mapbox GL JS, or ArcGIS API for JavaScript
Experience with geoparquet, duck DB, and other open source data formats
Experience with AutoDesk and Microstation
