The Senior Director, Discovery Toxicology is responsible for providing scientific and strategic leadership to the Integrative Toxicology function within the Discovery & Translational Sciences (DTS) division. This role oversees the direction and execution of Investigative Toxicology efforts, with a focus on evaluating and mitigating safety risks associated with early-stage therapeutic targets. The position requires a strong foundation in discovery and preclinical toxicology, with the ability to interpret complex data across in vitro, in vivo, and human tissue-based models. The role plays a key part in enhancing the translational relevance of toxicological assessments and supports cross-functional collaboration to advance internal and client drug development programs. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED Must have at least 15 years of experience in the Health market with a proven track record of client and team leadership, and business development success. Must have previous experience in client leadership roles that have been connected to an office, market, or region with multiple successful client relationships. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Current Registration/Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering preferred. Additional certifications and/or training relevant to this role are preferred. Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed. About the Role Join Watlow's Systems Engineering team and help shape the future of our Digital Twin and Manufacturing Automation initiatives. This co-op blends software engineering, data systems, and shop-floor integration to improve how we collect data, automate workflows, and visualize processes across global operations. You'll collaborate with engineers, operators, and IT specialists to design Python-based solutions that make our manufacturing systems smarter, faster, and more connected. Key Responsibilities Develop Python-based web apps to capture and visualize shop-floor data in Azure cloud databases. Build and maintain data pipelines to Databricks for trend and performance analysis. Design Raspberry Pi + camera systems for part tracking and operator assistance. Replace legacy automation (e.g., auto-clickers) with robust Python automation and APIs. Integrate shop-floor data with company-wide digital systems and dashboards. Write clean, documented code and create user-friendly interfaces for operators and engineers. Desired Skills Proficient in Python (object-oriented programming, automation, data handling). Familiar with Flask, FastAPI, or Django for web development. Basic knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and Azure or other cloud services Basic knowledge of pulling and pushing data through APIs.
