The primary applications include steam, compressed air, chilled water, hot water, domestic water, HVAC/Refrigeration, natural gas, plumbing and other process-related systems. Required skills include HVAC heat load calculations (knowledge of HVAC load calculation software) and diversities, industrial ventilation design, equipment specification, selections and alternatives, controls and sequencing of operations, pressurization and hygienic zoning, knowledge of current industry refrigerant regulations, etc. It is assumed the candidate can design such systems with limited direction, can mentor others, and be capable of supervising the work of other engineers and designers while serving as the lead engineer on any given project. The role at times may require independent work or the need to manage team members assigned to their projects, while ensuring project requirements, schedule, and overall document quality are met. Inter-discipline coordination, BIM clash detection, shop drawing review, and site inspections will be required. The candidate must be a team player and committed to the quality of work generated. - A minimum of 15 years of mechanical, plumbing and utility systems design experience. - Revit MEP experience highly preferred. - A Professional Engineering license, in good standing, is required in a minimum of (1) one state.
