SpaceNav is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our team. This full-time position will be based on-site at the NOAA Satellite Operations Facility located in Suitland, MD, and will support NOAA's Office of Space Commerce (OSC) in developing the Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS). As a TraCSS Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and managing TraCSS system requirements, anticipating future needs for the TraCSS system, and assessing SSA software vendors. A strong foundation in mathematics and engineering is required, along with a deep understanding of the mathematical principles underpinning key astrodynamics and SSA concepts - such as orbit determination, covariance realism, maneuver planning, and conjunction assessment.
