For more on Employee Perks, click on this link: Employee Benefits | YMCA of San Diego County (ymcasd.org) Schedule: MUST BE AVAILABLE 1:30-6:00pm MTTHF and 11:30-6:00pm W Responsibilities Help facilitate inclusion of participant into typical program day Work individually with a participant with special needs Ensure safety, well-being of participants to include physical and personal care hygiene Implement behavior strategies that support the participant in the program Provide continual supervision and comfort to participants and serve as a leader and positive role model Facilitate activities, academic enrichment, games, crafts and other program activities Create an age appropriate learning environment, which allows for and fosters creativity and individuality Maintain daily communication with supervisor, staff, participants and parents Provide resources and effective strategies that support the participant to other staff Follow and maintain YMCA standards, goals and objectives Keep and maintain ongoing participant documentation for services and accountability The physical ability work with participants who require diapering and/or lifting services Must have verbal, visual and auditory abilities to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency Ability to work with a culturally diverse community Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate policies and procedures The physical ability to lead in group activities and to perform related physical skills Other duties as assigned needs to be included to all roles Qualifications Minimum 18 years of age and high school graduate or GED Education may vary per the department or program of hire: Completion of 48 college units, or passed CAPE/ Instructional Aide proficiency exam, or 12 units in Child Development or related field which can include: Arts, Early Childhood Education, Education, Humanities, Physical Education, Psychology, Recreation, Sociology, and Theater 1 - 2 years advanced experience working with participants with special needs/social-emotional/behavior support needs ages 0-21 Experience in behavior modification strategies and reinforcement systems are desirable Fingerprint clearance from DOJ/FBI required prior to working; additional CACI clearance depending on the department of hire TB test clearance within 60 days prior to employment or prior to working at YMCA program Completion of Child Abuse Prevention Training prior to working with program participants CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations: American Red Cross American Heart Association American Safety & Health Institute YMCA will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the San Diego County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring administrative, contractual, financial and technical aspects of the assigned project(s) being executed. Senior Project Engineer will be reporting to the Project Manager and/or Superintendent. The Senior Project Engineer will supervise a team of skilled Project Engineer professionals who support departmental and organizational goals through their efforts. Job Responsibilities includes (but may not be limited to): Assists Project Manager and Superintendent in the management of construction projects, which involves cost control, expediting, quantity take-off, scheduling and safety. Develop peer constructability review of design documents. Develop, input and update project schedule as directed. Assist with the coordination, development and accuracy of the project estimate, budget, revisions, cost coding, and prepare cash flow charts. Analyze changes to contract documents, i.e. Owner Change Order Requests (CORs), Subcontractor Change Orders (SCOs). Review revised cost reports with Project Manager and assist in establishing final costs.Attend and participate in monthly job reviews. Work with Project Manager to perform a thorough and objective bid analysis using all applicable components. Prepare subcontractor Schedule of Values and monthly owner billings with Project Manager and Project Superintendent. Other duties upon request. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction industry. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management of Engineering or related field. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management software (Viewpoint or similar) and Scheduling software (Primavera or similar). Apply a complete and proficient understanding of construction management, engineering, safety, scheduling, estimating, budgets, costing and procurement. Analyzing and interpreting data. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Multi-tasking in a fast paced environment. Strong leadership, detail oriented, problem solving, initiative and teamwork. Proven ability to fulfill project development to project closeout responsibilities. Working Conditions: Duties required physical abilities such as repetitive hand/finger motions, arm extensions, sitting, standing, and walking jobsites that include uneven and changing site conditions.
