Coordinates and supports the system financial team in providing actionable information (including analysis, reporting, pro formas) to support operational and strategic decision making. Provides analytical and consultative support to departmental and service line management and key stakeholders. Supports operational leaders by providing labor productivity and benchmarking analyses to achieve system goals. Analyzes diverse sets of data including financial, operational, clinical and economic, to support strategic and operational decisions. Interprets labor productivity, financial or other information on costs, expenses, revenues and various clinical and operational measures to make recommendations to senior management. Conducts and documents complex analysis projects. Provides technical support on complex analysis projects. Develops trainings and delivers presentations for operational leadership for labor productivity and benchmarking processes.
Infrequent travel to IU Health facilities throughout the state is required.

Bachelor's degree required

* Requires 3+ years of relevant financial or operational analysis experience; at least 2 years of experience in healthcare industry preferred.
* Requires analytical experience working with complex data sets.
* Requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products/applications; strong Microsoft Excel experience required; relational database and financial or operational modeling experience a plus.

The USMC's Working Capital Fund (WCF) component is undergoing a major migration from its legacy general ledger to Navy ERP and implementation of this migration at Logistics Command (LOGCOM) WCF posed unanticipated complexity leading to a backlog in accounting General Ledger variances. Contractor shall provide support to improve U.S Standard General Ledger (USSGL) management ensure compliance with accounting standards meet high audit standards and improve internal controls.

The DON's auditor documented deficiencies with the DON's Funds Balance with Treasury (FBwT) reconciliation process and controls. The DON and its service provider Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) must ensure these deficiencies are rectified. The USMC's transition to the DAI ERP has increased stakeholder complexity when addressing any such issues because it introduced new data systems and stakeholders that require coordination. In particular milestones include funding a solution for multi-funded contracts with outdated payment instructions processes and procedures for timely recording and support for transactions remediation of material unsupported journal vouchers (JVs) audit required white papers describing reconciling items and improvements in the FBwT reconciliation process and toolset. Contractor advisory services coordination and technical assistance is required to coordinate these efforts among DON and DFAS stakeholders and aligning the strategy to upcoming Audit Roadmap milestones.

Functional Responsibility: Independently apply advanced technical expertise and skills to implement business solutions. Level IIIs provide direction to project teams and interact with FM&C and Government clients at the Branch and Division Head Level.

Relevant Experience: Experience supporting audit response audit remediation internal controls financial processes and/or accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) and/or relevant OMB policies for State or Federal Government agencies or large complex companies (greater than 1000) employees.
Years of Experience: Six (6) years of progressive relevant experience.
Minimum Requirements: Four (4) year degree in accounting or business management related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum Certification: One of the following professional certifications: CPA CISA CIA CGFM or CDFM.

Stepan Company is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team in Northbrook, IL. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager FP&A. This person will be responsible for providing managing the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes. In addition, this position will perform ad hoc reporting to the CFO on a regular basis, facilitating development of the long-range strategic financial plan with the business, partnering with the business unit finance managers, act as system administrator for SAP’s Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) system.
Other Responsibilities:
• Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes
• Act as system administrator for SAP’s Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) system
• Support the annual 5 year plan processes
• Actively involved in routine monthly management reporting responsibilities
• Prepare presentations and executive reports for the Operating Committee, Board of Directors and other Senior Management
• Provide financial analysis support for global operations, including; ad-hoc analysis for board packages, power point presentations, review of cost savings proposals and other business analysis
• Preparation of financial and business-related analysis and research in such areas as working capital and ROIC
• Support the CFO’s responsibilities with respect to Investor Relations, including enhancement of the investor pitch, monitoring the company’s analyst consensus estimates, preparation of Q&A for the quarterly earnings calls and continuous improvement of the company’s investor relations capabilities

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and across departments
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and continuous process improvement mindset
• Energetic, strong work ethic, resilient, collaborative, ability to juggle multiple projects at once and personally committed to achieving success
• 5 or more years experience in finance and/or accounting
• Experience working in FP&A and/or transaction advisory services preferred
• Experience with SAP and SAP’s Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC) preferred
• Experience with budget and forecasting processes preferred

Education

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA license or MBA a plus
