We are currently seeking a Security Engineer for Security Operations Center in our Cyber Security team. This position requires an experienced professional with a proven track record of establishing the Security Operations logging and monitoring, alert response system. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

QualificationsMinimum 5-10 years of experience working in Security Operations Center and Application SecurityExperience in a fast-moving startup environment Extensive work experience in design and development of Cyber Security methodologies and comply to Security standards In-depth technical knowledge of different logging modes and monitoring the logs and do a thorough analysis.Extensive experience threat modeling and attack analysis Able to bring Security aspects in product development life cycle Demonstrable proficiency with one or more programming/scripting languages Extensive experience with pen testing tools and security attack vectors.Strong understanding of network concepts including TCP/IP protocol stack, HTTP and TLS, DDoS detection/prevention, Intrusion detection and prevention Experienced in Data protection in transit and at Rest, Data Loss prevention techniques. Experienced in Data compliance Experience with regular expression searches as well as detecting the required attributes in huge volume of data Network and host anomaly detection through both automated (NIDS/HIDS) and manual tools Experience in Agile development environment Experience with Automotive communication protocols would be a plus.

Performs Network Security Scanners using tools like DoD’s Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) for vulnerability scanning. Reviews scan results to ensure that the applications being placed on the network adhere to the DoDI 8500.2 and the transformation to 8510.01 (RMF) guidance.

BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+

Will consider: Edu/Exp: HS 16+ Years, BA/BA 10+ Years, or MA/MS 8+ Years

Required Experience:

• Use of cyber tools (Splunk required, and others preferred) to identify anomalous behavior in scan logs and critical Malware issues to report regulatory cyber security compliance.
• Development of compliance reports for network devices in multiple domains (N/S/J).
• Automating network scans and response based on specified criteria (ticket, quarantine, etc). For example, using APIs and Splunk and Boolean logic to assess network security non-compliance and automate a response.
• Requires IAT Level II DOD 8570 Baseline certifications.
• Requires CSSP Analyst certification.
• Required TS/SCI Clearance (Poly preferred)

Desired Experience:

• Experience with Gabriel Nimbus or other Big Data Platform
• CSSP Manager Certification

Colorado Salary Minimum: $102,100
Colorado Salary Maximum: $247,800

Aktana is looking for a talented Senior Data Operations Engineer to help build and maintain a healthy and large-scale data pipeline. The responsibilities of Senior Data Operations Engineer are to manage data pipelines for ETL processes and administer related databases and data warehouses, disaster recovery, database performance. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated who is passionate to learn new technologies and apply them to build highly scalable and reliable data pipelines.
Principle Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

Experience managing big data platforms or large data warehouses and data bases (MySQL, Snowflake etc) Assume administrative and operational ownership of AWS-based Database services, including MySQL and PostgreSQL Conceptualize, build monitoring dashboards, thresholds, alerting to monitor ETL pipelines Collaborate with Data Platform engineering team to improve data observability, self recovery of jobs Support the high availability and disaster recovery options and work closely with SRE team Participate and lead efforts involving incident response and root cause analysis for SRE Serve as a subject matter expert on Database Performance, logging, data security and compliance best practices Own ETL related issues in production, work and collaborate across Services and engineering team to reduce ETL errors, improve reliability and automate self-healing
