Burlington Stores is seeking to hire a talented full-time in-house Lead Photographer for our in-house photo studio located at our corporate offices in Burlington, New Jersey. He/she will be joining a team of motivated, fun, and super-collaborative creative and marketing team who are driven to be the best.
This role will be responsible for producing all the imagery for Burlington Stores marketing projects, including but not limited to, digital, TV, E-mail, social, signs, public relations, corporate collateral and more. He/she will also manage a team of freelancers that includes photographers, photo assistants, digital tech, stylists and makeup artist.
As the Lead Photographer, you will focus on shooting photography for stop motion animation video for TV, fashion and still life for social, digital, web, emails and corporate. You'll also collaborate with the design team, CD, and marketing team to build strong visual content. Introduce new techniques that bring our ads to life and reflex our brand. Day-to-day, you will work with a team of graphic designers and studio specialist to execute all digital assets, styling and propping of photoshoots. Must be quick to adapt to changes in direction and still maintain a high level of execution.
Responsibilities:
* Builds sets, establishes lighting schematic, and composes imagery that meet creative direction. Brings a point of view that helps communicate the intended story or outcome.
* Capture imagery according to brand aesthetic using lighting, set design, composition, and overall photographic technique.
* Ensures brand consistency in all photos/video across all mediums based on professional experience.
* Expert in Capture One and Photoshop (Cropping, Exposure, Background Removal, Color-Correction/Conversion, etc.) according to brand standards.
* Maintain a high energy and professional atmosphere in the studio.
* An excellent communicator with the ability to align cross-functional marketing and corporate teams' needs against business goals and timelines.
* Work with Studio Specialist to organize and facilitate a collaborative pre-photo shoot production and post-photo shoot production workflow.
* Works closely with content manger, social and digital teams to ensure that all photography and video meets styling and photography goals.
* Works closely with external vendors on identifying photography equipment standards and proactively recommends future updates to equipment.
* Work closely with the studio specialist on maintaining a freelance talent pool of photographers, stylists, coordinators, and assistants that prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion in resourcing.
* Collaborates with the VP, CD and creative team to take an idea from concept to reality. Helps with defining look and feel and provides expertise and ideas on how to take a concept to the next level.
* Compose, stylize, and stage product shots, based on direction provided standards in setting up lighting, color accuracy, and exposure for each shot.
* Scout locations, models, and pets for location shoots.
* Operates cameras, lighting equipment, and monitors/adjust equipment during shoots required.
* Manages time efficiently to complete shoots/projects in a timely fashion (meeting deadlines).
* Work closely with studio specialist on all studio functions on daily basis.

* Experience with Capture One, Phase One, Mamiya RZ and Pro Photo equipment.
* 5+ years of digital photography and video shooting.
* Experience shooting in studio and on location preferred.
* Superior knowledge of digital photography and post-production of digital images
* Excellent knowledge of Mac and Capture one
* Proficient with Photoshop
* Ability to work under pressure, balancing production needs and aesthetic needs, while keeping a close attention to detail
