Job Purpose

Regularly performs distribution center associate duties, may specialize in designated areas or functions, and provide support and direction to regular and temporary warehouse associates. Works closely with branch leadership to ensure productivity and safety expectations are met

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(not all inclusive)

individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation

* Interpret/communicate & train safety policies/practices to ensure safe work practives are followed;
* Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks; inspect material for quality requirements;
* Stocking and transfer material, tools, and equipement to appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bind loation, size, type, style, and length;
* Mark material with correct identifying information;
* Transfer material to and from stock package orders in boxed and pallets as required;
* Assemble customer orders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets as required;
* Pull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer; load onto correct truck or transfer to packing area using a forklift, overhead crane, and heavy equipment;
* Enter appropriate inventory (incoming and outgoing) information into SIMS system, using hand held scanner as appropriate;

* Reviewing various periodic reports for contect, such as traffic and mill test reports;
* Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipments;

* Lead and direct Distribution/Warehouse Associates in work duties when needed;
* Establish working rapport with local management, corporate employees, and other branch personnel using proper phone etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills.
* Adhere to MRC ethic policy and holds others accountable for behavior that is consitent with MRC ethical standards'
* Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.
