This is a perfect job for K12 certified classroom teachers with summers off who want to teach children various types of new technology. Lead Instructors are adults who are responsible for the well-being and education of the students. A lead instructor may have either a degree/experience in education or significant experience in one of the content areas. They must have a strong understanding of the course concepts being taught as well as any techniques and software involved. Classroom management skills are preferred. Upon completion of the Black Rocket training program, instructors must demonstrate competency in the core concepts and software used. In addition to teaching responsibilities, lead instructors are also responsible for the supervision of staff, equipment management, and enforcement of site policies. Training is provided and begins in spring 2026. This is a seasonal position. Experience with technology preferred, but not required. Get paid to build your resume and have a ton of fun! Training is mostly online with some on site at HVCC. Each new hire will attend an online training program to learn the curriculum and the Black Rocket approach. Training begins in April 2026. The position is full day (8:30 am - 4:30 pm), Monday-Friday. Each instructor is expected to committ to the full week-long assignment they are given, with the possibility of working more than one week in the timeframe of July 6th through August 14th.
