Qualifications Must be 18 years old or older High school diploma or GED Experience with infant through preschool children preferred Requirements HS diploma or GED Valid driver's license CPR/First Aid certified 20 hours of training yearly (approved by and/or required by director) Physically able to lift 40 lbs. General Responsibilities Provide a safe and healthy environment for infant through preschool children. Model safety practices and good health habits. Classrooms will be arranged and maintained through ITERS or ECERS requirements. Assist with general housekeeping tasks. Use positive reinforcement, positive behavior guidance and promote positive self-concept. Supervise closely indoor and outdoor play, as well as supervising children during rest time. Administer first-aid and give medications when required and follow the medicine form. Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the program. Specific Responsibilities Assist daily in classroom function and routine. Assist in restroom needs for all classrooms. Assist in making sure supplies are stocked and materials are on hand for the teaching staff. Assist in giving breaks throughout the day. Assist lead teacher in completing science, art, and cooking activities. Assist with the charts and graphs (taking data, pictures, etc.) Follow all policies and procedures set forth by The ASP Early Childhood Academy Employee Handbook. Work cooperatively and interact positively with all staff. Maintain a positive attitude and loyalty to the program at all times. Perform any other duties assigned by the lead teacher and/or directors. Technology Must be able to learn new computer systems: BambooHR, Brightwheel, Teaching Strategies Ecosystems, and Google Suite.
