We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher to join our team. This position will plan and implement activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.
Primrose School at The Park is an accredited private daycare that provides a exceptional educational childcare experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through Pre-Kindergarten. Primary Responsibilities and Requirements:
Supervision and enforcing daily class routines
Observes health and safety rules and regulations
Maintains assessments and portfolios
Implements lesson plans and daily classroom schedule
Accepts responsibility for general housekeeping duties of the classroom
Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions
Maintains professional personal appearance
Assists in other capacities that Owner/Director determines is necessary
Desired skills and experience:
Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency
Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
2 or 4 year degree in early childhood or related field preferred
