Job Description Job Title: High School Spanish Teacher We are seeking a dynamic and passionate High School Spanish Teacher to join our team at Elizabethton High School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Spanish, a love for language education, and a dedication to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for developing high-quality language lessons to students, encouraging cultural understanding, and preparing students for language proficiency exams. Qualifications: Valid Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsement. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of and experience with language teaching methodologies. Ability to use technology and multimedia resources effectively in the classroom. Ability to engage and motivate students and foster a love for learning. Ability to meet health and physical requirements. Willingness to undergo fingerprinting if not already on file. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging and effective Spanish language lessons to high school students in grades 9-12. Create and implement a curriculum that aligns with state standards and educational goals. Foster an environment of respect and open communication to promote student success. Provide differentiated instruction to accommodate students' varying language levels and learning abilities. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects. Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and staff to enhance the overall educational experience. Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with educational best practices. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and behavior. Attend and contribute to school events, faculty meetings, and other required activities.
