Key Responsibilities:
Deliver High-Quality Instruction: Teach five classes (or equivalent responsibilities) and design dynamic, engaging lessons aligned with NY State and Common Core Standards. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with ELL and IEP designations.
Support Student Development: Serve as an advisor for a group of 10-15 students, building strong relationships and supporting their social-emotional growth.

What We're Looking For:
Academic Credentials: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area. A Master's degree in Education or a related field is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the LeadTeachers and along with Assistant Teachers, Teacher Aides assist in the care, supervision and education of children in a childcare center setting. Education and Experience:

The Lower School Associate Teacher program provides educators in the dawn of their careers the opportunity to work alongside and learn from an experienced Head Teacher. Designed for college graduates interested in pursuing a teaching career, the majority of appointments last for three years, in the same classroom.

Integrate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for children with disabilities
Provide children with a consistent classroom routine
Provide supervision and ensure the safety and security of children at all times in accordance with Head Start and day care licensing requirements
Supervise and eat nutritionally prepared meals with the children as a curriculum activity, to model good nutrition, proper social skills, and family style meal service
Supervise all classroom field trips and outdoor activities
Understand regulations associated with prevention of occupational disease and injury, including the exercise of universal precautions and the prevention of contamination
