    Elementary School Job Description: Pond Cove Elementary School has an opening for a 3rd Grade Teacher (long-term substitute) to cover a maternity leave beginning January 2026 through June 2026. We seek an organized, flexible individual who is capable of forming strong, positive relationships with elementary-age students. Pond Cove is a large elementary school with 550+ students in grades K-4 and 90+ staff. Pond Cove is a high-performing school with expectations of excellence and rigor in all areas of an educator's professional practice. The successful candidate will join a team of six other third-grade teachers (a total of seven). This role includes planning, designing, and delivering engaging and hands-on lessons and implementing assessments to measure student growth and progress across all curriculum areas, including reading, math, social studies, and science.
