At Great Wolf, the Aquatics Technician II oversees the day to day engineering operations in the lodge. This includes but is not limited to project management, general life safety, ordering, working with vendors. Responsible for completing preventative maintenance and repairs through-out the hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings & grounds.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.
Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
Ensures that all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner adhering to standards of safety and effective equipment utilization.
Maintains working knowledge of departmental safety procedures. Attends safety-training programs and in-service as required for continued development.
Maintains the necessary service records on mechanical and structural systems.
Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping and safety. Including ensuring all daily, weekly and monthly documentation is being completed.
Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Assistant Director of Engineering.

Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 1-3 calls per week in this territory
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Major Accountabilities
1) Develops and applies unique solutions and applications to a broad range of technical metering issues and problems (solutions that typically require original and creative approaches).

2) Prepares complex engineering plans, designs, analysis, specifications, cost estimates, evaluations, studies, technical reviews, investigations and verifications. Complies with design, regulatory, operating and maintenance requirements, such as NERC compliance associated with intertie metering (BAL-005 R12.1). Identifies potential schedule or quality problems and initiates corrective action.
4) Interfaces with customers and other departments to ensure project objectives are understood and that work scope meets customer requirements, budget and schedule. Contacts customers and various levels of management to obtain or present technical data. Presents the results of designs, studies projects (in terms of new techniques) or approaches to subordinates, colleagues, management and customers.
5) Provides technical guidance, leadership and support to less experienced engineers both internal and external to own team. Provides direction for programs executed by field teams, such as testing and calibration of metering equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
6) Assists the organization in problem solving, as needed, by critically challenging assumptions and decisions to ensure the most optimal solutions and strategies are implemented. Assists in developing long-range strategies for significant site problems. Leads technical investigations into metering/billing inaccuracies.
7) Leverages industry and organization resources to resolve key technical issues. Develops a path forward to address these issues including bridging strategies. May interface with outside agencies and regulatory authorities.
8) May plan and coordinate programs and large-scale engineering projects or multiple medium-scale projects while acting as a technical specialist for a specific engineering field.
May be responsible for: all aspects of work scope; directing consultants; conducting feasibility studies; determining staff, cost estimates and resource requirements; and recommending engineering criteria.
9) Monitors projects and recommends modifications to increase operating efficiency and /or reviews design and documentation of complex projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, schedules and any regulatory requirements. May develop, negotiate and manage contracts and contract revisions.
10) May research new developments and technology and make recommendations to management on their feasibility for Company operations. What you will accomplish
* Assist with conducting archaeological fieldwork (including pedestrian survey, site identification, site recording / data collection, monitoring and data recovery excavations).
* Conduct fieldwork for long hours in various environments including, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, inclement weather, and rugged terrain.
* Accurately identify historic and prehistoric artifacts and features.

Experience and qualifications for success
Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of relevant experience
* Must have a valid driver's license, the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle background screening, and have access to reliable transportation.
* Able to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Available for fieldwork on local projects and for fieldwork requiring extended travel (staying in a hotel for up to 10 days at a time).
Preferred:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field
* Completion of an accredited Field School
* Experience with a range of field methodologies; including survey, testing, excavation, and heavy equipment or ground disturbing activity monitoring.
