* The Office of Computing and Information Services (CIS) at the City University of New York (CUNY) support the IT and telecommunications needs of CUNY's 24 colleges.
* CIS supports enterprise IT and applications; develops new technologies that advance the University's core mission; builds, upgrades and maintains the University's network; operates the University's Data Center and help desk; develops disaster recovery and business continuity plans; and leads the CUNYfirst Enterprise Resource Planning Project (ERP), which integrates 25 university systems, covering student administration, financial management, and human resources.
* Reporting to the PeopleSoft Technical Support Manager, the PeopleSoft Technical Lead will serve as a technical expert on the CUNYfirst Production Support team in the areas of Human Resources, Finance, and other modules while ensuring stable performance of all PeopleSoft applications, and manages the application change control process.
* Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Provides technical support and acts as a technical expert for all PeopleSoft applications.
* Works with the CUNYfirst Production Support team to resolve reported issues and provide expert guidance to PeopleSoft technical and functional support team members.
* Acts as a technical and functional resource to aid in the technical upgrade, business process management, and analysis and design configuration of the PeopleSoft/Oracle Financials modules.

* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Manage and own the environment plan to meet the demands of the delivery and service projects
* Write and manage the process for tracking releases, upgrades and changes to the development and test environments working with the test team and technical services teams (internal and external such as DBA and Operations)
* Plan the reuse of environment when testing is complete by employing Golden Copy approach to immediately reset the environment (Housekeeping)
* Manage the integration and test environment configuration, deployment and test activities required to provide a stable test platform working with both Dev and PV Lead/Manager
* Ensure monitoring of environments is conducted (Monitoring).
* Document environments and underlying components to appropriate standards including integration points (full end-to-end picture)
* Maintain, refresh and recycle environments, including access control and deployment of software builds for testing (unit, integration, functional)

* Ensures all releases can be accurately tracked, installed, tested, verified and/or backed out if necessary.
* Deliver high quality communications within the department to assure maximum communications and compatibility with other team members, in-house systems and technology platforms.
* Deals with service roll out planning including method of deployment and serve as a single point of contact from release planning to rollout of the code in production systems
