We are currently seeking a Senior Test & Validation Engineer in our ECU Test Engineering team. This position requires an experienced professional with a track record of excellence in the field of systems engineering and software quality. The candidate will be an accomplished leader with a strong organizational capability and ability to command respect from the talented teams he or she will help lead and coordinate.
The RoleIdentify, document and manage test & validation requirements from unit to software-in-loop testing for in-house/supplier ECUsDrive decisions on test strategies with collaboration between quality assurance, validation, development and operation teams Create & amend manual/automated test cases to perform SW validation in the operations environment (Line testing) across ECUsOwn and manage the test platform, version history, issues list and feedback to SW Engineering, Build team and OperationsAlign and support SQA processes and activities within functional areas such as Factory testing and their testing platform Coordinate and communicate the rollout of new processes, quality metrics and tools with all impacted teams
QualificationsA minimum of 7-10 years with hands-on experience in creating and executing test cases supporting validation of large-scale programs & products.Strong background and experience in Test & Validation in large systems development programsA proven track record of driving organizational change Experience using Agile/Scrum/Sprint methodology as well as waterfall methodology Experience with software development best practices BS minimum in an engineering discipline (computer science, electrical engineering or similar)

Job DescriptionAnalyze Software under test and build, maintain an automated test infrastructure for a multi-platform product that will be used to validate all aspects of the product operation. Serve as team leader. Formulates, contributes to, and directs task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for research, prototype, and proof-of-concept test automation activities. Directs and participates in all aspects of testing tasks including test plan, design, test data management, test automation architecture and business use cases. Provides guidance to staff on complex assignments and mentors on new test engineering technologies.

Act as primary practitioner coach on the team to grow the capabilities of other engineers on the team.

Build and maintain an automated test infrastructure for a multi-platform product that will be used to validate all aspects of the product operation.

Interpret and report testing results, and encourages and trains others on the value of quality in every phase of the development process.

Establishes and teaches others to create processes and tools set to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports.

Functions as a leader in the developer community within Magellan and performs demo, knowledge sharing sessions.
Write technical blogs in Testing and be active in Open Source Community.
Other Job Requirements
Responsibilities
6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test (SET) or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).
6+ years of experience developing test automation using open source tools.
Expert in automated testing strategies, including Test Driven Development (TDD), Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
Programming experience in object-oriented languages or scripting languages (Java, Javascript, Python, Ruby, Perl, and SQL), distributed systems and Unix-based systems.
Mastery level of deploying advanced Programming and Cloud computing concepts, Software Architecture and Design Patterns.
Demonstrated Experience in Test Framework Design and Development.
Experience with Agile testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience leading, training, or mentoring other Test Engineers.

Responsibilities:
• Installation, trouble-shooting, commissioning, testing and maintenance of protective relaying equipment.
• Calibrate & perform functional tests on micro-processor based protective relays for high voltage substations.
• End-to-end relay testing using Doble ProTest software or Protection Suite.
Due to continued rapid growth, AET has immediate needs throughout the Eastern, U.S.
Requirements:
• Relay Test Techs must have a minimum of 5+ years of hands on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays on high voltage substations.
• Experience installing, maintaining, testing, & repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and similar equipment.
• Knowledge of Doble ProTest or Protection Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with proven commitment to safety and customer service.

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, MVR and other background checks.
• Able to work overtime.
• Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license and compliant driving record.
