Essential Functions/Responsibilities Communicate and understand business goals and requirements, and work to create data solutions that add value to the business. Support technical and product managers to ensure that all aspects of the information analysis and requirements-gathering process are completed with the highest degree of accuracy and quality, including the development and socialization of key project artifacts. Develop and participate in the review of requirements, data mappings, use cases, and other artifacts and clearly communicate to both the business and technical team members the system requirements. Demonstrate the ability to access data, analyze data, and remediate data issues leveraging SQL and applicable AWS analytics tools such as Athena. Support team with functional, regression, and end-to-end testing efforts ensuring that features deliver the expected functionality with high quality. Create and maintain functional and system tests to replicate complex real-world scenarios. Support ad hoc data requests as required as part of the DevOps team. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree required. (MS or MBA is a plus) A minimum of 5-7 years experience in software development, data management, and applying knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to a broad range of life-cycle activities in order to meet the requirements for data projects and process improvement initiatives to include agile development process; cloud and microservices analysis, architecture and design; functional and regression testing; and software configuration. Demonstrated experience with AWS Lambda, Node JS, SNS/SQS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, DynamoDB, and Athena. Related Skills & Other Requirements Excellent understanding of data management concepts and best practices, as well as an ability to become an SME in education data. Strong ability to explain advanced data concepts to both database developers and architects, non-technical end users, and senior executives. Experience with cloud technologies especially AWS serverless development tools and architecture. Working experience with CI/CD and DevOps Comfortable with building, deploying, and maintaining web applications in AWS environments (Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS/SNS). Experience in developing requirements for business intelligence, master data management, and functional data projects. Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications. Experience with Oracle Database and expertise in understanding and writing SQL. Demonstrate strong attention to detail, a high degree of initiative, and excellent documentation and communication skills. Proficiency with Jira and Wiki.
