Wages for this position are starting at $25.00 with a .50/hr shift differential for 2nd shift (4pm-12am)!

Our facility in Prinsburg, MN now has an opportunity in our fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will be leading a small team building custom fittings for our customers, including:

• Using hand/power tools to build customized fittings. • Interpret drawings to understand customer specifications and requirements.

• Coordinating daily work assignments of employees on your crew, including leadership in safety and quality. • Verify that finished goods meet Prinsco's quality standards, Identifying and reporting defects or improper machine operations immediately.

We require the following qualifications: • A high school diploma and at least six months experience working in carpentry or a machine shop. • Knowledge of working safely with power tools and the ability to read and interpret drawings and detailed specification. • The ability to achieve a forklift certification. • Ability to work in a loud noise environment; lift up to 25 pounds consistently and 75 pounds occasionally; use hands and reach with hands/arms, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for up to 2/3 of the workday; and good distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision and depth perception.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

World-wide electronics manufacturing company in the Plano, TX area is looking for an experienced Lead Welder to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, join and/or repair space age metals, scientific and research components using oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Assist in the implementation of master plan to ensure goals and projects and daily productivity.
• Operate grinders, positioners and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
• Responsible for keeping track of company tools and equipment.
• Perform a 100% inspection on the first completed part, continue to check parts during the run-in accordance to the inspection report.
• Apply competencies in welding and utilize computer-based software to operate the robotic machine.
• Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished work piece dimensions, and/or numerical control sequences.
• Calculate machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts.
• Stop machines to remove finished material or to change tooling, setup, or material placement, according to required machining sequences.
• Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
• Monitor machine operation and control panel display and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.
• Ability to read and use tape measure, and measuring tools, and blueprint specifications.
• Manage welding supply and material needs.
• Coordinate activities of employees in the welding area.
• Responsible for taking a proactive approach to continuous improvement including productivity, quality, safety, environmental, and ergonomics as well as being a contributing team member in a fast-paced environment.

Education, Skills, and Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, and preferably formal training/certification in welding.
• Experience operating welding robotic (USS Robot).
• Knowledge of welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG, TIG, tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of robotic welding programing.
• Ability to weld vertical or flat welds with acceptable quality consistently.
• Ability to weld the following and any combinations of the following: Wire 24 gage to 50 & Metal ½ plate to 24 gauge.
• Skill in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures.
• Able to understand and execute instructions/directions.
• Must be available to work weekends and/or overtime.
• Ability to work and concentrate in a noisy environment.
• Ability to wear protective equipment such as earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, welding helmets, boots, respirators, etc.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment as well as within a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.
