WHAT YOU'LL DO
Work clinical shifts, with responsibilities consistent with emergency doctors at your VEG:
Answer medical questions over the phone
See patients right away as part of the VEG Triage and VEG Spikes, our unique, customer-centered way of doing things-like ensuring people see a doctor right away and allowing families to stay with their pets
Complete a diagnosis of each pet's condition to create a diagnostic and therapeutic plan
Communicate diagnosis and treatment options directly with customers
Provide appropriate treatments to address each pet's specific condition
Create and review medical records to ensure accuracy
Demonstrate the value of tests and treatments performed by speaking with the customer and addressing their concerns
Coach fellow doctors on medical excellence, doctoring the VEG Way, and providing VEG's customer-focused experience
Support fellow doctors through their assigned growth and development plans
Assist Medical Director (MD) when coverage is needed due to callouts or schedule changes
Work as interim MD when the current MD is on leave or opening a new VEG hospital
Lead monthly doctor meetings and M&M rounds with guidance from the MD
Teaching hospitals only: If needed, own the New ER Doctor (NERD) training program and perform all NERD MD job duties.
Create doctor schedules, including managing leave requests and posting schedules at least two months in advance
Address customer complaints related to medical concerns.
WHAT YOU NEED
A DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree
2+ years of ER experience and critical case management
One year leadership experience is preferred, but not required

Drives Gemba participation with team, populates Gemba communication boards in partnership with supervisor, and conducts Gemba presentations
Counsels team members on job performance. Partners with supervisor to develop performance reviews and recommends promotions or disciplinary action when necessary.

Develops and implements a coherent and unified curriculum and catechetical plan for the parish, in conjunction with the pastor, parish staff, formation team.
Directs and oversees various catechetical programs that support a comprehensive, systematic, lifelong, and ongoing discipleship in the Catholic faith for all parishioners in accordance with Church teaching and practice as outlined by Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), the General Directory for Catechesis (GDC), the National Directory for Catechesis (NDC), church law diocesan guidelines, and parish needs.

Utilizes the parish bulletin, weekly update, website, social media and other media to communicate and market catechetical programming, best practices, and milestones.
Encourage and promote students and families to attend Sunday Mass.
Provides support to the formation team in the areas of training, resources, and programs.
Keeps current in developments/changes with diocesan policy.
Acts as a resource person in the area of catechetics for the formation team, parish staff, pastor, and parish community.
Prepares annual budget for review by the pastor and parish finance council and oversees expenditures to maintain budget within parameters.
Develops an accurate and reliable statistical metric of the parish's catechetical efforts and submits reports to the pastor, pastoral council, diocese, or other as required.
Attends and participates in staff meetings.
Attends and facilitates formation staff and/or committee meetings.
Attends meetings/events convened by the diocese as related to catechetical ministry or job-responsibilities.
Participates in local and regional professional organizations related to catechetics; gives priority to professional development and to keeping credentials current as a parish catechetical leader serving in the Diocese of Orlando.
Performs any other job-related duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise catechists and volunteers, including all individuals assisting with sacramental preparation programs. Provide guidance and oversight to office contractors as needed.

THE JOB
As a Lead Emergency Veterinarian at VEG, beyond helping people and their pets, you'll take ownership of supporting your team and ensuring that your hospital is a model of clinical excellence. Working alongside your hospital's medical director, you'll champion VEG's medical processes and initiatives, developing your fellow doctors and coaching them to thrive. You're well-versed in the VEG Spikes, our unique, customer-centered way of doing things-like ensuring people see a doctor right away and allowing families to stay with their pets-and you lead by example, ensuring your team practices the VEG way with every case. In this role, you'll find ways to say yes to providing the guidance, resources, and encouragement your team needs to grow confidently in their careers. As a leader, you'll have the opportunity to foster a culture of mentorship and learning, helping your doctors build fulfilling, unexpected career paths while creating a lasting impact on your hospital.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Work clinical shifts, with responsibilities consistent with emergency doctors at your VEG:
Answer medical questions over the phone
See patients right away as part of the VEG Triage and VEG Spikes, our unique, customer-centered way of doing things-like ensuring people see a doctor right away and allowing families to stay with their pets
Complete a diagnosis of each pet's condition to create a diagnostic and therapeutic plan
Communicate diagnosis and treatment options directly with customers
Provide appropriate treatments to address each pet's specific condition
Create and review medical records to ensure accuracy
Demonstrate the value of tests and treatments performed by speaking with the customer and addressing their concerns
Coach fellow doctors on medical excellence, doctoring the VEG Way, and providing VEG's customer-focused experience
Support fellow doctors through their assigned growth and development plans
Assist Medical Director (MD) when coverage is needed due to callouts or schedule changes
Work as interim MD when the current MD is on leave or opening a new VEG hospital
Lead monthly doctor meetings and M&M rounds with guidance from the MD
Teaching hospitals only: If needed, own the New ER Doctor (NERD) training program and perform all NERD MD job duties.
Create doctor schedules, including managing leave requests and posting schedules at least two months in advance
Address customer complaints related to medical concerns.
WHAT YOU NEED
A DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree
2+ years of ER experience and critical case management
One year leadership experience is preferred, but not required
Training in emergency surgery/endoscopy
Flexible to work a combination of clinical and administrative shifts
Ensure top-tier customer satisfaction and hospital revenue production
Willingness to lead and support fellow doctors, as well as perform administrative tasks during off hours (i.e. doctor callouts, addressing customer complaints, scheduling)
Must be willing to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis based on hospital needs
Work well in a fast-paced environment with people from all backgrounds and different personality types
