RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include but are not limited to the following.
Initiate, organize and report on all program planning and management taskings.
Ability to deploy equipment when needed. This requires transporting detection equipment via towable trailer to various locations as designated by the client.
Coordinate, initiate and track the progress of deployments of the assigned equipment.
Ensuring detection equipment is repaired, calibrated, and maintained in a ready state for deployment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
Provide coverage during standard and non-standard hours of business to include weekends and Holidays when necessary.
Provide just-in-time training on deployed equipment, as needed, to stakeholders at events.

Position Summary
The Greider Discovery Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Greider Discovery Specialty Camps and Leaders-in-Training Program. This role includes implementing established Greider Discovery curriculum and, when needed, developing supplemental or new curriculum to meet program goals. The Greider Discovery Lead is expected to demonstrate foresight in planning, anticipating program needs based on camper ages, group dynamics, abilities, and site conditions.
The position collaborates closely with the Assistant Director of Programming on curriculum planning and supply needs, submitting material requests in advance. As a general member of the camp leadership team, the Greider Discovery Lead reviews program effectiveness, provides feedback, and offers recommendations to strengthen curriculum and inform future summers.
In addition, this role will also take leadership for the Camp Greider L.I.T. program, serving as mentor, planner, and teacher for these campers during their weeks at camp.
This role requires a dynamic leader who excels in both mentorship and instruction, ensuring a transformative experience for both L.I.T.s and specialty camp participants throughout the summer.
Essential Functions
Greider Discovery Lead(Instructional Camps):
Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with camp curriculum and learning objectives.
Lead instructional camp sessions (2 hours per day, 5 days a week).
Work with campers ages 6-15, divided into appropriate age groups (e.g., 8-9, 10-12, 11-13).
Manage groups of 8-16 campers in instructional settings, with the support of camp counselors.
Prepare, inventory, and maintain equipment before, during, and after activities.
Submit activity plans and supply requests in advance.
Set up and take down the program area daily.
Work within a budget, prioritizing efficiency and resourcefulness.
Co-teach and collaborate with another instructor when required.
Create and maintain a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants.

Physically able to accompany campers to and participate in all camp activities.
Able to communicate verbally with campers and to provide instructions.
Possess visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and physical ability to act swiftly in emergency situations.
Able to observe camper behavior, respond to health and safety concerns and deal appropriately with camper behavior.
Able to work long hours including nights and weekends.
Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (rain, heat etc).
Capable of effective and appropriate mental, emotional and social responses in a constantly changing, youth centered environment.

Salary Description $640+ DOE/week
