What the day will look like
The Global Industry Leader for the Industrial and Manufacturing sector is responsible for developing and delivering a strategic growth plan for the industry vertical. They build strong client relationships and lead business development initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of the industry strategy across all client segments and regions, partnering with colleagues across business lines to harness broader Aon relationships to drive growth.
Develop and Implement Industry Growth Strategy: Define and implement a strategic plan to expand market share within the vertical, including identifying market opportunities and setting clear objectives.
Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Cultivate strong, trusted relationships with key client partners, understanding their business challenges and proactively identifying ways the firm can add new value.
Lead Business Development Efforts: Drive regional pipeline generation and conversion by identifying and prioritizing new opportunities and supporting regional sales teams on large enterprise deals.
Deliver Thought Leadership: Represent the firm as an industry expert by publishing insights, speaking publicly at conferences, and participating in industry forums to raise Aon's profile and credibility.
Lead Financial Performance: Oversee the vertical's financial health, including revenue targets, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
Develop and Grow Industry-Focused Teams: Mentor, and develop talent with relevant industry expertise, fostering a collaborative and impactful team culture.
Collaborate Across the Organization: Work closely with other vertical leaders, service line leads, and regional leaders to harness broader firm capabilities and client relationships.
Monitor Industry Trends and Regulatory Changes: Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory shifts, and emerging risks to ensure the firm's offerings remain relevant and compliant.
Drive Innovation and Solution Development: Identify client needs and market gaps, leading the development of new services, solutions, and delivery models tailored to the vertical.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $240,000 to $280,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

Needs ability to generate management reports in Excel, ISO experience to create SOP work instructions and procedures in Word.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 50+ pounds using team lift.
