The Supervisor is also responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, supply inventory and the sanitization processes among others. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Performs all tasks associated with the daily supervision of operation technicians including hiring, onboarding, training, work assignments, time off approval, performance evaluations, employee development plan, performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions when needed. Develops, implements, and maintains a training program for operations technicians which includes safety training and record keeping. Responsible to keep all training required for this position up to date. Develops, implements, and maintains compliance procedures that adhere to institutional, federal, state and local regulations for cage washing and other vivarium support areas. Job Summary: The Outdoor Activity Leaders for FiiN are responsible for leading fifth grade students through nature-based science activities. The curriculum includes science/environmental concepts related to the conservation of wetlands/coastal habitats as well as leadership and team building through outdoor recreation. Outdoor Activity Leaders will provide supervision of students in shifts spanning Mondays through Fridays for 9 weeks. Outdoor Activity Leaders will report to the Education Manager or City of Newport Beach Recreation Supervisor. Pay Range: $21.00/ hr Status: Hourly, Fulltime Days of the Week Needed: weekends and holidays Shifts: - 2nd 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, Sun-Thursday $.25 shift Differential - 3rd 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM, t-Saturday $.50 shift Differential Work Hours: 8 hours and possible OT Key Responsibilities: · Follow all Safety, Allergen Controls, Food Safety & Sanitation, Food Defense, and SQF policies and procedures relating to job duties. · Train and assign daily tasks to employees. · Relieve employees for breaks and lunches. · Coordinates raw material from the warehouse team needed by work order issued. · Assign and direct the daily tasks of production workers and monitor completion. · Audits mixing process, following operators tracking form. · Oversee analytical testing by batch specifications. · Review inventory consumption in the inventory system for each batch. · Assist in the preparation of daily production reports and KPIs. · Maintains a clean and safe work area, disposing of excess materials. · Provides timely updates to supervisors and management. · Ensure proper handoff to the following shift lead. Escalates all safety, employee, and operating issues to shift supervisors and management. · Performs other related duties as assigned. Environment: · Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hair and beard net, gloves, safety shoes, bump cap, smocks · Chemical Exposure: Cleaning Supplies and Food Allergens · Temperature: Refrigerated 67 degrees Fahrenheit Qualifications: · 2-5 years of experience in food or chemical compounding, mixing, or batching processes. · Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environment. · Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and food safety standards. · Knowledge of ingredient handling, weighing, and mixing processes. · Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and Chemical Handling. · Ability to read and interpret batch records, formulas, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). · Skilled in operating mixers, pumps, scales, pallet jacks, and other compounding equipment. · Basic understanding of quality control tests (e.g., pH, Brix, moisture, viscosity). · Experience using tablets or computers to enter data and complete documentation. Physical demands and abilities: · Ability to maintain a safe and positive work environment. · Ability to lift/push/pull up to 52 · Ability to bend twist, stoop, squat, and pivot. · Ability to walk and stand for 8+ hour shifts.
