Ensure reporting of IPMS console health status when operational capability is diminished.
Will ensure all required IPMS and Signal of Interest reports are complete with minimal errors and that all processes, activities, and report are conducted within established time frames. Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform TEMPEST Countermeasures Reviews, Visual TEMPEST Inspections (VTI), and TEMPEST technical inspections, assessments, evaluations and reviews.
Ensure all required reports are complete with minimal errors and that all processes, activities, and reporting are conducted within established time frames.
Ensure required TEMPEST reporting and annual training requirements are conducted and completed according to National Policy and the customer's Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA).
Assist the customer's CTTA in executing the customer's TEMPEST program, analyzing requirements, implementing programs and processes for controlling or mitigating compromising emanations from customer equipment and facilities. Interpret security policy and regulations governing TEMPEST as they apply to customer facilities, systems and equipment.
Provide advice and assistance to customers to ensure the collection of information required to facilitate the TEMPEST mission to include: building/floor drawings or schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, shielding, power systems, signal data and power line routing, HVAC ductwork and other utility wiring or piping.
Assist customers in the completion of online automated workflow process requests (TEMPEST support requests), TEMPEST checklists, Protective Distribution System (PDS) requests, and TEMPEST Countermeasure Review requests.
Accomplish VTIs and TEMPEST testing of customer facilities, systems, and equipment, to include SCIFs and PDS as required by the customer's CTTA.
Represent the customer's CTTA in meetings or briefs relating to customer facilities, systems, and equipment that process classified information and provide the customer's CTTA with details necessary to properly assess the scope as related to TEMPEST.
Support TEMPEST daily operations that include:
Maintaining and ensuring accuracy of the customer's TEMPEST Automated Workflow Process.
Ensuring completion of all TEMPEST reports, checklists, PDS requests, and TEMPEST Countermeasure Reviews (12) within established timeframes.
Supervise annual reporting of TEMPEST technical evaluations (at least 75 items).
Ensuring adherence to National, DoD, and Agency regulations and instructions as they relate to TEMPEST.
Ensuring TEMPEST technical reviews, inspections and assessments are accomplished within established timeframes.
Execute TEMPEST Daily Operations that include:
Gather all necessary information required for the customer's TEMPEST Automated Workflow Process, TEMPEST checklist, PDS request, and TEMPEST Countermeasure Reviews.
Conduct all VTI, TEMPEST technical reviews, inspections and assessments as required by the customer's CTTA.
Maintain TEMPEST qualifications as required by National, DoD, and Agency policy.
Maintain TEMPEST test equipment and coordinate repairs and calibrations as required.
Coordinate with other components of the agency and partners to ensure TEMPEST requirements and countermeasures are in adherence.
Recommend and provide TEMPEST guidance for Agency security elements. Those duties include:
Provide recommendations and guidance for new processes and systems.
Assist in determining best practices related to wireless efforts.
Ensure wireless technicians understand and comply with National TEMPEST policy.
Ensure that TEMPEST reviews are conducted in accordance with National policy and DoD directives.
Coordinate TEMPEST Countermeasure Reviews and VTI for customer facilities
Evaluate and make recommendations to the customer's CTTA on countermeasures consistent with National policy and operational requirements
Prepare estimates for the customer's CTTA on proper implementation of TEMPEST countermeasures and mitigations in support of the TEMPEST mission
Maintain appropriate records to include Technical review, inspection and evaluation reports, VTI reports, TEMPEST checklists and waivers. Maintain and update records in the TEMPEST automated Workflow Process
Conduct inspections and perform site assistance visits, as required by the customer's CTTA
Possess awareness of National policies and DoD polices regarding TEMPEST (e.g. National Security Telecommunications & Information System - policy and instruction, etc.)
Advise development, implement and oversee OJT training program to prepare TSSC Technicians for success at government sponsored training
Skills and Experience:
Required:
10+ years of experience in TEMPEST, Physical or Technical Security, or Facility Inspection related fields with at least 3 years in facility accreditation inspections, shielding, grounding, and Protected Distribution Systems
Shall possess the National TEMPEST School certifications for completion of TEMPEST Fundamentals and TEMPEST for System Installation and Facility Design, Test Equipment Familiarization and Field Testing Basics courses
Desired:
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
Be a credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (ex. FBI Academy, etc.)
