Your day-to-day Intern project assignments are focused on our World Class Manufacturing methodology and could be in areas such as: * Manage equipment/resource relocation projects which could include: redesign of current equipment or resources, working with suppliers to identify new equipment options and leading change management with impacted team members * Design, develop, review and conduct coordination for test programs or components, small systems or processes, or materials taking into account customers, product performance, cost and quality requirements * Lead scrap reduction initiatives, including project scope and timeline development, problem solving with suppliers, establishing standardized solutions and implementing changes * Focus on cost-savings initiatives across a plant including: standardized work audits, improving first pass yield and throughput, etc. * Learn and apply Lean Manufacturing tools to project(s) Minimum requirements * Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical or Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations/Operations Management, or Related Area * Pursuing bachelor's degree with plans to graduate before or by May 2028 * Current cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher * Must have indefinite US work authorization. Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including cost center, manufacturing, and variance analyses, and present findings to management and department leaders. Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in reporting. Analyze manufacturing variances, standard costs, fixed costs, and balance sheet items, identifying deviations from budget, forecast, or standard and supporting corrective actions. Investigate manufacturing cost issues and support the development of methods, processes, and programs to improve the plant's financial performance. Support the month-end closing, forecast, and budget processes, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules. Assist in the preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and plant financial targets. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Plant Controller.
