Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a positive attitude in a high stress environment. Load, unload and deliver a variety of materials to various locations throughout the facility. Prepare and package parts using proper procedures and materials. Use computer hardware/software to maintain inventory, enter and retrieve data and other computer input requirements. Handle, maintain inventory, shelf-life material and time and temperature sensitive materials as well as chemicals. Lift various heavy items safely and as a team when necessary. Follow military and aerospace regulation requirements. Check, prepare, process and file a variety of paperwork pertaining to tasks. Use assorted measuring and weight recording devices. Assist employees in performing duties. Improve processes and solve problems with the team of coworkers. Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean. Safely operate a forklift and pallet jack as necessary. Operate a company vehicle with a clean driving record to deliver and pickup materials as necessary. SUMMARY As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welds on various metal components and ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetics of the finished products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform TIG welding operations using appropriate equipment, tools, and techniques to join metal components accurately and securely, according to blueprints, specifications, and welding codes. Select and set up the welding equipment, including TIG welding machines, gas cylinders, torches, filler rods, and other related tools. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements, dimensions, and tolerances. Prepare workpieces by cleaning, degreasing, and positioning them for welding, ensuring proper fit and alignment. Set welding parameters, such as voltage, amperage, and gas flow, according to the material type, thickness, and desired weld quality. Execute TIG welding operations on a variety of metals, such as stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium, while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Monitor the welding process. Inspect the welds for defects, such as cracks, porosity, and distortion, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal results. Perform post-welding tasks, including grinding, smoothing, and polishing, to remove sharp edges and achieve a finished appearance. Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of welding equipment. Identify and report any malfunctions or repair needs to the supervisor. Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
